I don't think you wasted your money. Its yours and if you like the unit then good for you. You will not be disappointed with the images you get with it. Although I do disagree with the people that say SI is useless on a small screen. They just don't know how to read it. I had a 797si on my bow for a year and a half. Sure my 997 is easier to read but useless is taking it too far.

I am in the zilch column with the rage tail shad. I need to try to fish it more and get some confidence with it. As far as a space monkey, I guess I'm out of the loop on that one. Never even heard of it :'(

You will not be disapointed with the 917. I have it on my bow and it is a great unit.

Measured a fish on the board. It was not a keeper. Somehow I threw the board in the water instead of the fish.

Just wanting recommendations on staying warm during February and March fishing. I am going to start fishing early tournaments this year. I have never really fished these conditions. There is a ton of stuff out there, but what has worked best for you guys.

They even have some newer models that just come out this year with new prices. Plus the side imaging units are now coming with down imaging, which is just as incredible. My first of the year was placing 16th out of 200 on the coangler side of a Bfl on the Big G. This was my first tourny I have ever fished. My boater blanked. Second would be 9lb 14oz Ohio largemouth. Hopefully 2010 will be good for everyone on here, Good luck and Happy New Year.

I just woke up to a whopping 13 degrees. I am sitting here on the forum and watching reruns on fishing shows. It is not going to be a fun day. Someone hacked my computer and ordered $175 worth of tackle from Tackle Warehouse. I have tried to hide my passwords from the bait monkey. Some how he always fiinds them.

All I have to say this morning is, That was sad. Either they forgot how to cover receivers or they were outmatched. I think they were outmatched. Oh well they had a great season. Now Im hoping the Bengals will go to the Super Bowl and run away with it. Anybody with me ;D
