My resume?
Hello potential sponsor, I fish on the weekends and tell all my buddies about what lure I used to catch bass on. Sometimes they go out and buy that lure so they can catch a bass or two. I buy and try at least 32 new lures a week. The bait monkey has his claws deep in my back. I am going broke and getting tired of trying all these new baits only to catch nothing. That makes me spend more money on top dollar rod's and reel's because I know they will make me a better angler. If that works I recomend that "setup" to my friends. I buy and try at least one "setup" a week. The bait monkey has his claws deep in my back. Some times they go out and buy that "setup" so they can catch a bass or two. I am going broke and getting tired of trying all these new "setups" only to catch nothing. So... You should sponsor me and I will save some money and if your lures, rods, and/or reels work, I will tell my two friends and if the one friend that fishes buyes my B.S... Well then, you will have one more new customer. "One hand washes the other." That's what my momma used to say. Give me something for free and I will get you at least one new customer, maybe even two or even better three, but only if the free item you send me is really good. In closing I would like to say, "I fish, therefore I am." and "I have at least one, maybe two friends that really believe I speak the gospel truth." ;D He/they will buy whatever item I say will make them better angler's. Also I am a member of the Bass Resource message boards and I can push your products on the member's there all day and night long. So how about it? Are you going to sponsor me or not? Honesty, MyKeybe ________________________________________________________________________________ So what do you all think? I think Shimano just recalled my Curado and they will replace it for free with a top of the line Shakespeare Durango spincast reel. ;D

The best advice ever...
Relax. That's it. That's all. Relax. While it does not apply to fishing, I had a tragic event happen this week and that is all my stepfather kept saying. "Relax." "Calm down." "Take it easy." It may sound stupid but it goes a long way. Can't figure out that baitcaster? Calm down, relax and then try again. You'll get it. Everyone catches fish on Senko's and you don't? Calm down and relax. You'll get it. Etc... It applies to everything in life. Relax.

Can a battery be overcharged?
Ben, Relax, man. You where right. Just give em one of these and call it a day. Paparock, Your charger is F'd. CONCRETE WILL NOT KILL A BATTERY. Think about it. We put batteries in aluminum boats (on bare aluminum) and put the boats in water. I will bet $100.00 that aluminum conducts electricity better than concrete. Much better. Corrosion, small leads, bad terminals, poor grounds, shorts, etc... will kill a battery. The floor will not.

Fisherman athletes?
They are not athletes. They are sportsmen and sportswomen. Well for the most part they are, unless they are catching caged fish. Then they are cheaters.

Trolling motor circuit breakers
T Mike, Any idea how that thing mounts and where the reset button is? As far as the wiring goes, I would solder some ring terminals on the end of the wire, put some wheatherproof shink wrap on it, and bolt the ring terminal down. Use solder instead of crimping. Crimping leaves air gaps which create current loss and helps corrosion. If the wire is large enough, race car companies like Moroso and Taylor make compression style ring terminals. Very easy to work with.

BR.com/LBH clothing line. Opinions pls
LBH, No thanks needed. Anything I can do to help the Resource and everyone here that has helped me along the way. I deserve no thanks. One hand washes the other, LBH. Hell, I thank you for your dedication to us BRer's. You go above and beyond. Glenn, RW, Chris (I have learned a thing or two from that dummy! Thanks Chris ) and yourself (LBH) have taught me more than I could ever hope to learn about bass fishing. THANK YOU!

best tip ever?
Hey, I thought hooksets were free! Besides if it isn't a bass, I've already caught all the big stumps and rocks I could ever want. ;D This is my tip. Bass fishing is fun. You do not need a $400.00 rod, $350.00 reel, and a $22.00 crank bait to catch a nice bass. I caught my PB (which really is not that great. 3.5-4.5#) on about $46.00 worth of equipment. Rod, reel, line, and lure on less than $46.00. If you can afford the higher end stuff then by all means use it but you do not have to have it to have fun fishing. The best tip ever? Catch and release.

Get an "Amen" to CABIN FEVER?
A BIG AMEN from Me. Ice sucks. LBH, Lucky b-tard, I have 3.5 cats that are addicted to "The all new pitching game" and a dog that is mad as heck that she is the "moving pitching target". The other 1.5 cats got hit with a 3/8 hookless jig and are not real sure if they like "The all new pitching game" or not. ;D

Update on my jon boat project :) (lots of pics)
Nice looking boat Mike. buzzbaitfool12, You should always use a fuse or circuit breaker. Circuit breaker would be prefered because if you have a problem and it trips, it is easy to reset. Also the 10 gauge may be enough, it really depends on how long the cable run is and the amp draw. I'll get to that in a minute. hachiesting06, Again it depends on amp draw and the length of the wire. You can never go to large so 6 gauge is generally a safe bet. Here is a link to recommended gauge sizes: http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/charge_wires.html For 35-50 amps the 10 gauge should be fine up to 16 feet.

Looking for a Senko style mold..
Welcome aboard Ron. I have no idea where you can find a senko mold other than maybe e-bay or making your own. Maybe you should ask again in the tackle making forum? :-?

The current World Record Largemouth
Where do you get your info dude?? From the link that rattletrap posted. If you have time read it please. That information is just not accurate. You can look at it that way but it's not accurate. Nope. Not accurate at all. I am positive that Duclos' first name is Paul not Scott. If Big Bass Bonanza can't even get Duclos first name right, what are the chances of any of there information being right?

The current World Record Largemouth
Come on guys, This is getting out of hand. : Perry's record is the record. Love it or hate it, it's the record. Believe it, don't believe it. It's still the record. Would everyone be happier if the world record came with a "made in japan" stamp on it? (Woohoo! I can go to Wal-mart and buy a world record. ) I firmly believe that Georgia was the land of 'freaks" in the 20's. I also know that in 2006 "everything is bigger in Texas". ;D I am also aware that in 2006 California is home of the "freaks". ;D (Thanks squid! I had no idea. :) As long as a member of BR is the guy that catches the next record then it's all good. Go get em!

Plastics time!
lovecranking, It refers to if the sinker is left to slide on the line(unpegged) or if the sinker is attached to the line by inserting a toothpick in the sinker, using a rubber band, etc... basically keeping the sinker in place(pegged).

Who is your fav pro bass fisherman
Fluke, I like the way you think. I would also suggest as I have in the past, JT Bagwell. These guys may not be the best known but when have you ever seen KVD, Ike, Bill, etc... logged in and giving you advice? Also a big to my favorite amatuer, Glenn. Thanks again Glenn.

biggest bass youve ever caught?
My biggest was this one here. It was heavy. Looked big. Somewhere between one and ten pound's? ;D My best guess is three to four pounds. Well, then again. Now that I think about it... It was closer to ten! :-? ;D

Does anyone have a stereo in their bass boat?
LBH, your a tweaker? ;D That's cool, but I will take four 12"s over two 10"s anyday! RFL's have all the SQ you need. Just kidding. Back to the question. LBH is on track. Another thing I would suggest is to make sure the head unit is supported from behind. Just bending the tabs on your metal mounting sleeve and slapping it in a fiberglass console will not last very long in a rough marine application or so I would guess. LBH and his 'glassin guru may tell you different. I have very little personal experience with fiberglass and may be way off here but I think support of the rear of the head unit would be needed in a marine application.

A good company?
LFMAO! I don't care who U. R. ... ;D ;D ;D Eye think crankin_king needz 2 start pooring hiz own lurez if he wantz 2 get sponsered. ;D Lurez iz Us. northgabassfisher, I think everyone has made valid points and I wish you the best of luck. You seem to have the spirit to make it , someday. Most, if not all, company's will look at you as some punk azz kid. You have no merit and little, if any experience. So... You need to go out there and prove them wrong. Win a tournament or two. Learn all you can about bass and the potential sponsor's lure and "sell" it back to them. Make them think that you are the best salesman and truley believe in there lures. Anyway, your young, you have a lot to learn, and someday you may catch the next world record. Just keep at it, learn all you can, and have fun! Do this and I will bet that you will find your dream sponsor someday.

terrible service at Strike King
Maybe it's just me but I'm not sure I'm ready to jump on the "Strike King is great again" bandwagon. I really wonder how this would of turned out if T Mike hadn't said something. :-? Oh well. If nothing else it sounds like the kiddios will have a great season. Good job looking out T Mike and LBH.
