Transferring line from one reel to another?
been doing it caster to caster for years. there is some coiling at first with mono and fluoro...just spool it tight and tape the tag end to the spool...add a bit of line conditioner and you should be good to go. there may be still some coiling once you get on the water, depending on brand of line used, but it usually goes away after a few casts.

Gamecocks!!!
good game. much better than mlb, imo.

How Does He Do It?
a calais 100a holds right at 70 yds. of 15# line...strapped to a cbr845, i have spooled a flat cb dr. haven't done it often but, have done it.

Need advice for a new crankbait setup.
the avid 70mhm or the cbr845 make excellent all-around crank rods. matched with a curado e5, neither would break the bank.
-
Split Grip or Full Grip whats your preference?
don't really have a preference here...am more concerned with the blank than the handle. that said, the splitgrips i've used feel off-balance...like fishing with a 7' pistolgrip.

What is the best Fuji reel seat on the market right now

One of three rods
foursies on the 803.

Should i just buy a Curado E?
for the $140 and change you can find them going for, the curado e is a steal.

Abu Garcias Vendetta rated better than Shimanos Cumulus!!!!
nothing like deliberately missing the point or tossing red herring into chowder. While you're swapping the price tags, why don't you swap the components while you're at it? See how that goes. actually, it is the only point. one man's trash is always another man's treasure...as i wouldn't put much faith in one man's erstwhile assessment of a subjective value, neither would i place much faith in another man's interpretation of that value...as the o.p. suggests. as far as the original vendetta/cumulus...personally, i don't see either in my future. As previously mentioned, the Vendetta was tested against the baseline GLX @ $300.00 + and held it's own. A machine is not subjective, it is objective. any mh should be able to somewhat recreate the deflection of any baseline mh on a rodwrack machine....the rodwrack measures the characteristics (action, power) of a blank, not the quality of a blank. the 6 scoring categories at the end of the review call for a value to be given and added to a final score...the values given here are not machine responses, they are human responses. i.e., subjective value.

put a $79 price tag on the glx and a $350 price tag on the vendetta. see how that review works out.

Mossyback vs. IMX
the mossyback bcr will feel noticeably heavier, not as crisp as the comparable glx bcr. they are faster than the comparable power in the imx mbr line...but will still feel heavier and not as crisp here, as well. as far as overall sensitivity, they do compare well to other non-carbon scrimmed rods such as the avids, the cumaras, the dobyn's, etc...but, as stated, at a generally higher price point than those competitors.

What's your go to bait for BIG Bass ?
of the 5 double-digits i've caught the last couple years, 3 have come on 1/8 bitsy bugs tagged with zoom super chunk jrs.

Straight Shank vs. EWG
personal preference. ewg is all i use anymore.

Starting to lose patience...
I agree, plus they excluded Jackall products from the sale. scratching the noggin on that one, too.

bps xps fluorocarbon
just goes to show...it was lucky enough to last one day with me. in my hands, the xps seems to dig into itself after a heavy hookset, much more so than other fluoro's i've used...making the spool hang at the point of that dig on the next cast. when you set the hook on as many stumps as i do...

Most Overrated Lure
just goes to show. the pointers, the bds 2, flat mini dr and the cb-350 are my money baits...like the shadrap #5, they just seem to produce when all else fails. will agree on the gulp thing, tho.

Guess it's better than more payments...
I can attest to this also, the garage where my wife use to( key words "use to") bring her car performed a tranny oil change and flush on his own, we did not ask him to do so, that Oldsmobile lasted about 3 weeks after he did it....I brought it back and he claimed it wasn't his fault and wouldn't do anything about it, but wanted almost 3K to put in a new one. Every tranny shop I brought the car to said the same exact thing that Bilgerat said....almost word for word. If you haven't done it yet, then don't. thirdsies. got my own war story here.

Just to clarify
baught for bought. breaks for brakes.

Has the Senko replaced the Fluke?
the only time i use flukes anymore is around wooded cover. wet senkos stick to wood like snot on a wall.
-
allstar rods...older generation
if not mistaken, the blanks of the original allstars were supplied by gloomis in the early days...the original castaway rods, as well. got away from all star when they started rolling their own. and, yea, the original wr-2 was as good a worm rod made...even by today's standards.

G Loomis GLX
the first line of glx rods introduced on the market may have had some breakage issues...there was certainly a good bit of buzz about it on several boards at the time. that was many years ago...yet the perception of them being brittle still exists. personally, have been using them for years and have yet to break one.

Line for Shallow Cranks
12# yozuri hybrid. am like a broken record with this line.

do i want the MBR782C GLX?
gonna have to ditto bronzefly here. have yet to find a better stick for pop-r's, pointers and small cranks than the mbr782. a perfect match for that 51mg.
