for the 4.5 a 3/0 and for the 6 a 4/0 but you can get away with a 3/0 it all depends on what your going for and where at for spots and smallies i would use the 4.5 for largemouth the 6 unless the bass are sluggish then 4.5
  3. well first u got to call out the bite i go bite....hold on....got him...(then when u get them to the boat) oooo YA thats a biggen
  4. yea thats great yea im still going the guy said its tough bass fishing that time of year but i guess they pull out lunkers
  5. yea ok *** i cant wait til have get a job and have some money yea ill let u know for sure
  6. wow thats cheap i really like bleeding baits tube in a craw color yea allluring has some great deals too as soon as i get some money im going to buy a crap load of stuff from that website so i can buy in bulk and save some in shipping
  7. i have used both without a jig and the crigger craw definety produces more but i have also used both as trailers and seen no markable definerence in the number of bites or size of the bass if were strictly using them as trailers i would go with which ever one is cheaper but if u want them for trailers or on shakeyheads i would go with the crigger craw
  8. the guard doesnt affect the hook set but for smaller lighter jigs that are used for shallow points and that i trim the guard but for larger heavier jigs used for weeds i leave the guard along jig fishing is alot of fun
  9. yea that was the first piece i used and on one of the first couple cast i nailed one in some pads i got really excited over the bait and used it for rest of the day and nothing then the next day i kept it on and nothing never used it again

A study was done in which fish were presented crawdads with 2 pinchers, with 1 pincher, and with no pinchers. More fish were caught on the crawdad with no pinchers and the least were caught on the crawdad with 2 pinchers. This led to the developement of the Gidzit ( for some reason that name doen't sound right, but its close). This eventually led to the tube. I must admit that I still fish crawdads with 2 pinchers, I guess I'm afraid the fish might not recognize it with out the pinchers. ] not sure how to put in that box thing well biggerworm did the article say anything about the size of the bass a no pincer craw is very unnatural and there is no way bass bite them over a 2 pincer craw yea dsaave those yum craws are great the scent of the LPT is awesome i really like it
  11. i really like using swivels i used them for all the normal technques like carolina rig but i actually use them for any trig or weightless rig becuase when u miss a bass the bait becomes cocked eyed and will twist the line when reeled in which damages the line faster. also i like the snap swivel so u can change damaged leaders quicker
  12. yup excaltly its awesome bluegill are too small and too timid to go after eggs so i like a craw color or a dark minnow color just because its very natural. and just for a few more fish try replacing the hooks with red ones exspecially if the water is clear. the fish hit it harder with them yea the bait normally will stand up for a few seconds then will fall over but them angry bass just want it off their bed
  13. the details of craw baits really dont make a whole lot of differnce. the length color and presention is what is critical for good bass fishing. i really like the hollow body yum craw in crawdad color it is a real natural imitation. try it on a shakey head exposed around boulders or deep ledges. t-rigging it on a 1/0 hook can be used but i think it is hard to get a good hookset good luck and just dont quit bass allover love craws so that is one presentation i think all anglers should be good at
  14. yea bud i like using lipless cranks alot for bass guarding eggs/fry i personally discovered a nice little way to get bites that time of the year. well first i like fishing very shallow open water definety slighting for beds well try casting it to the back side of the bed and let it sink to the bottom then slowly reel it in then when u get the bait over the bed pause it and let it lay on the bed this almost always works for me even big fish will hit it. i like a crawfish or real dark color
  15. yo fishn i just got a new job and im not sure if i have to work weekends or not. i probally will have too so we might need to change the date of the trip down to that creek. if u want i can probably go out of the way but pick u up then head down during the week sometime if your not too busy. have u used the new basstrix yet? its awesome i really want to use the 4in on creeks and rivers
  16. ok yea i will tell the guy tomorrow that im interseted in going i went with him a few years ago in august and we knocked them out so i was confused about where to go i mean wills is one of the best fisheries in PA but i wasnt sure how it is early in the year. thanks alot cant wait til june!!!!
  17. yea big diff. i like tubes for smallies and worms for largemouth cast tubes around laydowns and bolders and worms in open water and in/around grass
  18. hey how is the fishin in the spring like in early may or late april? i found room in my scheledule and really want to go to wills but a guy is talking about going on a float down on the southbranch of the Potomac in WV for trout and prespawn bass just wanted to know what u think
  19. i personally dont like it it has a fixed depth and with a hard head it should have more detail i like the slurpies or something like that baby crappie swimbait its probably not as durable but u have more freedom with the bait u may let it sink deeper or reel it in right under the surface and the swimming tail makes a nice wake
  20. strike king's new coffee tubes are going on the market they look real good but they claim that the actually smell like coffee and fish really like them just wondering if anyone has any info on these new tubes and was wondering if they are worth buying
