Red Vixen Fox with its pups with pics
At Lake K I seen the mother cross a busy road as I was walking to my blazer... I said to my self "no that couldn't be a fox" After putting all my gear away besides a rod, I head behind the near by building where the lake continues. I take a few cast and look to my right where I see a Vixen and 4 pups... Fox are very cautious especially around humans and personally I never seen them out in the day. The mother stays around for a short time and the pups stay to play They climbed up a hill and disappointed into the burrowed area. I didn't want to get too close not knowing where the Vixen went since I didn't want to get attacked especially because, many fox carry rabies

My 1st 08 Bass from a small pond w/pics
We tried suspending minnows and all places though at the pond I only threw mine about 5 times... Ooh Sat where are you heading to? I am hoping to go tomorrow at some point I have had this camera for about a half of year now and I have realized that most of my "good shots" come out very clear with a lot of color... Davis some of these places are open because, I have been talking to my buddies about some of these places recently must be my hot breath To be honest I don't know why they are open, I passed one pond that was iced over yesterday and after the rain last night and the warmth this morning gah still iced over... I hope I can get one of you guys to meet me down here and we could hit all of these small ponds... Though with my luck that will be the day the bass go on strike! Thanks again

Its all about finding un-fished ponds or if lucky a lake. Good Luck- Your favorite spinnerbait.
Hart I have never used the one below- Get ready guys the Northeast is warming up!!!!
Walk on the ice and cast off to the open water My buddy and I see 2 guys ice fishing on the lake today 1 of them was fishing 100 yards from open water, I figured either the guy was stupid or he was catching monster fish. There is no way I would be out there especially so close to open water- another noob - pics and pond question
how many fish can i take from it and still have enough fish to fish for next time? I wouldn't keep any type of fish until I knew the body of water. Some waters are polluted in all type of ways and some have warnings posted. If the water is clean and contain healthy fish I would suggest keeping the smaller 12in Bass at a rate of a 2 or 3 fish every other week if not longer. how do you use a mepps inline spinner? I usually just reel it in very slowly. I never caught a bass over 2lbs on one. These spinners do work great for Perch and Crappie What size of mepps inline spinner are you using? Around here I see people keeping more sunfish then bass, I believe its because, they are easier to catch, can be found any where, and taste better... When it comes to not having a lot of big bass in small ponds I beg to differ though pond size varies depending on who you talk to.- GOING FISHING TODAY!!
I hate when that happens... I had my hopes up recently I set up my rods Drove to the lake and it was all iced over Today I drove to 3 awesome lakes but, they were frozen too- My 1st 08 Bass from a small pond w/pics
DAY 1 Yesterday The story The details After work I went to a local school pond which was partially open again. The shore was covered with cat tails and only one spot in this area was open enough to cast from. This is the same spot 2 weeks prior where my buddy had missed a decent size large mouth Casting a brown double rattle double blade spinnerbait. About 5 cast into the afternoon of fishing a get a hard hit, set the hook and reeled this one in. I left about 20 minutes after that fish to lake K which is a Big Bass/Carp lake and was skunked for the 2 or so hours I was there for. I was at the pond and lake for about 2-3 hours the hole time out the only hit/bite I had was from that one fish. I ended up seeing some Fox and was entertained by them before I left Lake K - Home I have some pics if anyone wants to see them DAY 2 Today My buddy and I go in search of open water out of 4 places we find one Big Bass/Crappie lake which was partially open. We fished lake UP K for about 1 - 1½ hours (no rain) and neither of us had a hit We tried many types of hard and soft baits Since he lives near the school pond we headed there. We both broke 2 openings through the cat tails to fish We catch nothing for about 20 minutes and then the rain starts pouring down. He moves to the spot where I caught my bass yesterday His phone rings and its for me as I walk to him "Mike a got a nice one" I quickly get off the phone in time to see him lose a 4lb (if not more) LMB right at his feet... Nooooooo He cast his spinnnerbait out again and this time catches a 2lbs Again before those two fish and the rest of the time after (½ an hour) we had no hits... I don't understand why we only catch fish in this exact spot of the pond and why nothing was caught in either of the other BIGGER places we tried.- 2 days out 3 places and didnt get skunked w/pics
Pics from the school pond Could someone tell me what the name of this fish is A couple from Lake K I fished that hole left side and the shore I was standing on Doh my finger slid into the image while I was trying to block the blinding sun Then I fished the opposite side about the same length since the rest was ice Then Lake UP K from today- 2 days out 3 places and didnt get skunked w/pics

I went by my self yesterday so I had no one to take the pic My Fish 3.1 CT record 12.14 3.1/12.14 x 100 25.50- Get ready guys the Northeast is warming up!!!!
Woot sounds like this area is the warmest Tony we should go out on Thursday This rain is a good/bad thing The rain clears out the ice BUT The rain makes it harder to fish The warmest weather is this week and its raining most of it.. I caught one yesterday My buddy caught one today I would trade this rain for high winds and all day sunshine which equals warmer water- Took my cam to BPS in Foxboro on Monday .. had Larry the Lunker all to myself
Yeah wow his mouth is screwed Though he is a friendly one and if there were more bass which were human friendly I think we all would be much happier anglers- Locating Lm Bass In March
I have fished 3 places All pretty much different and in two days I caught one and my buddy missed a monster and caught one of his own. Before and after those fish we had no hits bites nibbles nothing... I would suggest deeper water with weeds... If you could fight some rocks or logs further out definitely hit those spots We caught our fish on double willow spinner baits- 55 Today!!!
Sorry if you were closer you could have come out with us today... By next week end most lakes should be open especially after the 2 inches of rain we are going to get tonight...- Get ready guys the Northeast is warming up!!!!
I am going out tomorrow in the morning and hopefully later in the day... Wish me luck and focus!!! I am feeling sick, I better feel like a champ tomorrow!!! Lets bring back fish totals/max weights to NE - best camera
