  1. For me the short rods just feel odd to me. I don't think either length is bad, I just prefer the 7'
  2. Nice fish! I first swimbait fish I ever caught was on a matt gill.
  3. It is a MH and a one piece. One piece is better for sensitivity and durability. I also like the powell 734 casting rods.
  4. I use a 7' 1/4-1oz Avid st. croix for my jig rod. I've been using it for a few years now and I love it. Its a great rod for the money. I use braid with a flouro leader, it really helps with the sensitivity.
  5. Bizz I guess we have caught some big fish, but you forgot to say quoting movies and losing lots of money in baits!
  6. If you do hook set, you usually end up pulling the hook right out of their mouth. Like the guys above, lift your rod and reel.
  7. You can watch the special online at nationalgeographic.com go to the videos and search Hooked on Bass.
  8. I throw 25lb mono
  9. You better be ready late Feb. And if your not I'll drag you out anyway.
  10. Sweet fish! I love the 2x4 too.
  11. Sounds like the bait is pretty sweet, and already kicking fish. Can't wait to get one myself.
  12. oh yeah, nice rod too. Nothing beats $ free.99
  13. Pretty crazy day! At least you ended up with one good catch. That is a SICK bait.
  14. Dinkin Flicka, those are some great fish, I'll have to try to make the next one.
  15. Dude those are sick! Can't wait.
  16. The Strikes again!
  17. Nice!
  18. Jay and I have been fishing for years. We've both put a lot of time in to this sport and are finally wacking some GOOD FISH. Jay and I had two sacks over 40lbs within a week. When there on, there on. Don't be jealous and say the fish are fake. We blank out the backrounds so people don't know are spots. Go out and Stick um! Here's a few of mine on that 2nd day. Respect
