Every transducer that I have mounted has been on a trolling motor if you are using your trolling motor for propusion then I would put it some where else. Oh, wait, I did one transom mount.

I have no experience with high end rods, but I am expeienced in mid range and I think the special rod for special technique thing is a bit overplayed I have to agree here,except for maybe drop shotting but you still don't have to brake the bank

Avoid gravel if you can. I have to travel about a mile or so down a gravel road and it sucks. The worst part is people like to 4-wheel on the property and tear up the road. If the fishing wasn"t so great I would avoid it.

Like all baits, it depends on the situation. I like the RI Skinny Dipper when fish are hitting this lure it does not matter what it's swimming like, they will crush it.

IMHO, RI has some great products. I have used them for some time and not to many people around here use them or heard of them. That's fine with me.
