  1. depends on what you what them to do. i dont use tungsten unless fishing a tournament if i had more money to use them all the time i would. whenever you are punching matted grass they are invaluable.
  2. i tend to fish too small and too slow at first instead of power fishing and finding a good sized school and milking them. but im changing!
  3. when i was 10 i was shot by some ****** bag with an bb gun who thought he owned a collection pond in the back of our neighborhood. didnt have a fence. went home to get dad but my mom called the cops instead. his property line stopped way short of the pond. he went for a ride with the fuzz. id like to run into him nowadays.
  4. not exactly. but crawfish do!
  5. show off!!!!!! jk congrats man your gonna love em. what rods you gonna throw em on?
  6. creek chub????????
  7. with that said... has anyone on here experienced success with the sexy shad scheme (besides re-selling them on eBay) and kvd is well on his way to clear the bar that clunn has set. and doin it against some serious competitors.
  8. ok so last weekend KVD wins. I will always be one of the first to tell you that he is undoubtedly the greatest angler ever. clunn was great but kvd is on another level. last year he wins two on s.k. cranks in this mysterious color scheme that works in shallow and muddy water called sexy shad. It is finally released in every lure they make (short of their pre-packaged catfish bites) and flies off shelves everywhere, i mean the internet is on fire. now back to last weekend kvd wins on a red eye shad in sexy shad. but wait! this is sexy shad with chrome sides and bass pro shops is gonna have it in a week!!!!!!!!! so it all begins again i know its good business but strike king has kvd, along with many many other successful anglers and a loyal following but why cant they not B.S. us. maybe I am wrong?????? the story im speaking of is on another site
  9. of course dean rojas is always selling us those ten dollar frogs.
  10. i can usually figure out quickly what forage the fish primarily feed on. i dont really care so much about the lakes main forage but more the area im fishing's food chain. a good all around color is chartreuse with a blue back though if your just starting out.
  11. the gulp shakey worms worked very well for me last year. except here on the james where id catch way too many kitty cats with it. this year ill be trying the power bait shakey worm instead.
  12. as soon as you start hearing them at night
  13. Thats interesting. I've been on a C-rig craze recently, trying to get better with it. I have also been looking for a good lure to use with it. How does the hula rig stay up when you C-rig it? Do you just drag it and not worry whether or not its just dragging in the mud? most crawfish travel on the bottom anyway. my fave c-rig lure is a senko or beaver style lure. esp the beast
  14. how you figure?
  15. That's right. I sent an e-mail to Abu a few days ago asking about the "performance upgrades" section on their website that is still not completed. I asked what they were planning on offering. The first thing he mentioned were 5.4:1 gears that are available now for the Revo. You can order them from Abu just like any other part. now we may be talking. i like 5:1 for all my cranking this time of year. later on for deep cranks and spinner baits. i try to stick with the same style reels if i can so i hadnt really looked into a revo yet. how do the lower priced models work for yall?
  16. been a while since ive seen posts about those guaranteed tournament winners. (paddletail swimbaits)
  17. id be sold if they made a 5:1 ratio version. instead ill stick with my useless green curados and new citicas.
  18. stopped in the local tackle shop and asked the owner (a buddy of mine) when was he going to get with the program and start carrying vicious line. he told me that he would but right now they are having problems with their reps and may be going under. i seriously hope this is not the case. was wondering if anyone on here is with their pro or field staff and could clear this up for me. thanks.
  19. he was using the new tru-tungsten swimbait id have to say. even though i didnt see the episode he still is sponsored by tru tungsten.
  20. luhr jensen, norman and bandit are fine. but ive never purchased a rapala that needed to be tuned, cant say that about the others i mentioned. you get what you pay for.
  21. thats what i thought about 120 dollar curados and lucky craft cb-100s in aurora craw.
  22. bandit 100s work well for crashing into rocks. havent destroyed one yet
