quick fantasy question. i mean quick.
Can you help me? I have to chose between Cutler or Orton. ;D I am probably going to pick up Vince Young since he's been hot, but with Chris Johnson I just do not know if he can put points up every week.

new frog rod suggestions
I am going to try out the new Loomis TWFR854 once Spring comes around. I want something mainly for buzzfrogs around light cover. Seems like good rod with all the backbone I need. The powell would be great too, but I am not a fan of split grips. Thought about a Dobyns 735, but it would look odd in my lineup.

I'm so confused
I agree with the 7MH Fast. If you like the X-fast action then there is the 6'10 MH XF as well. Can't beat the warranty on these rods.

Fee for service. If you don't have the money, you don't get the service. No exceptions! Well maybe bassresource members.

Once this thread dies, if ever, we need a "Show off your bar or liquor cabinet" thread. ;D

Chalk another one up for USPS
So, I filed the claim through the 1800 number, but they haven't called me back yet. I went to my post office to ship something out and asked them about the situation. They stated that it is the sellers responsibility to file the claim because he took out the insurance. I am suppose to be reimbursed by the seller. Luckycraft, it sounds like you were able to get the insurance money as the buyer correct?

Chalk another one up for USPS
Haha. So it is my understanding that I will most likely get a check for what the insurance was for? I think he had insurance on it for $150, but not sure. The rod was a CBR 843. Do you think they would let me keep the rod?

Chalk another one up for USPS
I have had tubes broken by all three major companies. This is the only time the actual rod was broken as well. FedEx actually left the broken tube on my doorstep. Thought that was a nice gesture. I usually ship in 2.5' PVC and have yet to have a problem. Oh well. I am going to the anger out in a little modern warfare 2 before dinner.

Chalk another one up for USPS
Got a rod delivered today in a cardboard tube and what'd ya know, it was broke almost all the way through the middle. Rod was in 2 pieces. > I filed a claim and will wait to hear back in 1 business day. The package did have insurance. Anybody ever deal with the happening? What did they end up offering you? Hopefully it will all work out. I think I would vent even more if it wasn't 38 degrees today. Guess I have 3 months for them to replace/refund it.

Revo S on TW
It is my understanding that the new ones are not out yet. The newest one on ebay is this years model, not 2010 with the centrifugal system. I could be wrong though.

What reel covers do you use?
Sorry, what I meant to say was: "Do you leave the metal ring on the cover or do you clip it off?" It would be facing the wrong way and would seem pointless on a LH reel. Just wondering.

Do you leave the metal ring on your clip it off?

What reel covers do you use?
Awesome deal! Do you know if the baitcasting ones will fit left handed reels? I understand that the ring will be on the back, but wondering if it will compromise the fit.

What reel covers do you use?
Just wondering what reel covers you all use for low profile baitcasters and 2500 size spinning reels. I have a couple bass pro brand, but wondering what else is out there.

Engaged
Congrats! It was also hard for me to get used to Fiance and wife. I also had a heck of a time getting used to wearing my ring.

Another Gandermountain Deal......Stradic MG
Saw this deal at my Gander Mtn today. Asked if the 25% off red tag clearance items works for the Stradic MG and was told it did not. I would have picked up two if he said yes, $97 before tax, but I think I can find one new for less than that on the net. The guy did mention that they are putting them back at full price after the weekend. I guess they really don't want to sell them off

Crucial dropshot vs Cumara dropshot
I do not have a Cumara so I cannot comment, but I did break a tip on a 6'8 Crucial.

Anyone use the Mossyback BCR 853? Impressions?
The impression I get is that it's money for 3/8 jigs and plastics. I think Bronzefly stated that it can handle 1/2 oz, especially when compared to the 803. As for the sensitivity, it appears to be just under an IMX. I have not used a mossyback myself, but the IMX is pretty sensitive in my hands. If it is anywhere close than I am sure you will be impressed. Sounds like you have a great all-around plastics rod. Let me know how you like the action of the rod. I am thinking about an 803 or 853 as my next rod purchase.

Buzzbait
Low light in the morning and just before dusk. I throw 3/8 and 1/2 black on black the most. I have had luck with white and chartreuse as well, but black seems to work the best. I have thrown them midday, but prefer other techniques that produce more.

Lowrider vs. Crucial vs. Compre
You sure the compre you tried wasn't the MH Moderate Fast crankbait rod? The tags on them can be deceiving. I sold a Compre 6'10 MH XF rod that was as quick as the loomis BCR I have.
