  1. I used a set of jumper cabled took the ends off and crimped on the new ends
  2. Well at this point I think we all know that the black will draw heat. The inside of my boat is sprayed with bed liner and the boat is OD green and I cant tell that much different if any from my buddy's red and white stratos. With that being said I think the boat is going to serve his purpose. Keep us posted.
  3. It can be done I have a 14ft 1955 memphis bell v-hull jon boat and it turned out great I even have a raised floor in the front. smokepole
  4. There is a marine sealant called 5200 it is sold at walmart that might also work for you hope this helps.
  5. There is two choices here 1 try to pour it in to gas can to see how much is in there or 2 pour it out and start over. smokepole

  11. K. A. I used rustoleum aluminun primer from lowes and tractor paint from tractor supply. It has worked great for 2 years.

  14. 2 Coats of rustolem aluminum primer 2 coats of valspar tractor paint it had held up so far. smokepole
  15. I used deck screws and drilled through my bench seat and I put the 2x4 on the outside and screw into the 2x4 from the inside of the seat.
  16. I attached throught the aluminum storage box and ribs.
  17. I have got my boat in 2 ft of water. I like the way my boat cuts the water better than a flat bottom but there seem to be a little more room in a flat bottom. For the front deck all I did was attach a 2x4 to the first storage box about 6 inches from the floor.Then I ran 2 6in supports to the ribs cut to fit.To support the deck i cut another 2x4 to extend from storagebox to the front of boat and supported on the front rib and put 2 support legs on it. wait im confused :Dnow Let me draw a pic to show you what Im tring to tell you it easy to do. Do not use pressure treated wood it will eat the aluminum. The black areas(6 total) are my supports.Hope this helps.
  18. Here is a picture of my 1955 memphis belle. I made storage under the seats and put a deck in the front, to get the radious for the front I measured every 6 inches from center line and marked the wood with the same measurement and it worked out great. Hope this helps.

  20. If you fish with someone else you need a 14ft at least that is what I think. Also what kind of water are you going to fish pond,creek,river or lake?
  21. I watch a guy put one together last week at the river it did a great job.
