  1. I have a 30 LBS trolling motor on my 14 ft v hull with 2 men and gear it does a great job.

  3. Sounds good, but I would ask why a new skag had to be welded on.
  4. The boat turned out great.That is what I like about aluminum boats do a little work and you got a new boat.

  6. I get some of my crank baits at wal mart they sell for 1.97 and they seen to work as well as the 6 to 8 dollar ones
  7. Has the price of gas had an effect on your fishing trips? In Middle Tennessee gas is 359.9 a gallon up .10 sence 7:30 this morning.
  8. I have a 14 ft memphis bell I put a small deck in the front about 2 in under the benchs so I have a place to install a seat. i can stand up in mine and it is very stable and I'm 6ft6in and weigh about 280. Hope this helps

  10. The floor of my boat had a place repaired but I didnt trust it not to leak so I went over to a local shop that does bed liners and had them to spray the floor area on the inside to seal it hadnt leaked yet.
  11. Arctic cat, that is what I used on my boat. I put 3 coats on and its looks great. I didn't buy real expensive paint because I know it will get scrached up and tractor paint will be easy to find when I need more for touch up.
  12. Rustoleum aluminum primer is great stuck to the boat no problem,But the oil base paint is a diffrent story. I painted it and after 3 days of dring time I was going to two tone the boat as I was tape the boat I had to remove some tape and the paint peeled So I had to lightly sand the whole boat. I repainted the boat with valspar paint from tractor supply and it turned out great .Hope this helps.
  13. Well we could do that if I didnt have my boat tore down rebuilding it to. That boat you got can be restoreed with no problem. If you need any work on the motor give stoner river marine a call in lavergne.

  15. If that is true about the last 2 numbers of the serial number then I have a 1955. Thanks for that tid bit of knowledge. The boat is 14 ft and I'll probley wont sell it it is in great shape. Thanks again
  16. I have an old memphis belle made by the Guy Barnette co. inc in Memphis tennessee. It is a great boat but I dont know the year but a few old guys to me they thought it to be a late 50 to mid 60 model it also has a 1958 johnson 7.5 on it. It should be out of the shop by mid week and on the water soon.

I used the rustoleum primer for aluminum and the rustoleum paint, I thought it would work because both products made by the same company but the paint didn't stick for what ever reason I havent figured it out yet. So I repreped the boat and went to tractor supply and got tractor paint and it worked great.

  19. I have been thinking about painting my aluminum boat and I have read most of the threads about this subject.Everyone says use a zink primer. My question is tractor supply carry a zink primer for crossive protection is this the type of primer I can use does any one know. Thanks for any help.

  21. I'm running new wire for my trolling motor can't make my mind up to use 6 or 8 gauge wire.Does anyone got any advice on this subject.
