I guess he thought is was better than having to be in a boat with me all day. Though, most wait atleast 3 or 4 hours before making that decision. :

You have to keep these figures in mind : 2007 a 33% particapation rate 2008 a 32% particapation rate. Meaning 77% in 2007 and 78% in 2008 of all club T's held over the corresponding years didn't participate in the study. That's an aweful lot of unregistered fish. These figures donot include the average angler or weekend worrior. I've caught plenty of 5lb bass out of Webster and numerous Smallies over 4 and the same holds true for Long Pond Harwich. Long Pond Harwich is a HAWG producing heaven and I haven't been in a T there when multiple 4's & 5's have been brought to the scales.- 2007-2008 Mass creel limits(Documents)
I often wondered how many T's were held, as well as the numbers and quality of fish that were caught thoughout Mass. So, for the past two years I've been keeping track and thought you might find this info interesting as well.- CAPE CODMA?!?!?

Pre-fished a cape pond yesterday and took a new friend w/me. His 1st time in my jon and it wasn't very long before he descovered 350lb men should never shift their weight and dive overboard in 48* water temps 8:30 am, loaded the jon and proceeded to lauch. As I step in the boat and push off my buddy sitting in the back starts to scream and I just don't understand!!!! I'm standing on one leg, dumbfounded trying to figure out what the heck he's freaking out about? He leans to the left (correct way to lean) He then freaks out and leans to the right(NOT GOOD)! then disides it's best to just go ahead and pull a triple sowcow over the starboard side with one of his rods and new blackberry going with him, as well as myself and one foot of water filling the boat. I jump towards shore and land on one leg in groin deep water As I turn to back to see if he's OK,still wondering I don't understand happend??? He is now just standing in chest high water hunging himself shivering. "WALK TOWARDS SHORE AND GET OUT OF THE WATER" I exclaim At this point I'm still befuddled as he's running to my truck stripping down to his skivie's dragging the his rod that's hooked to him! As he shivering and trying to warm himself in the truck, I pull everything out of the water and load back up. We're driving back home and within 5 minutes he says "take me to Walmart and I'll buy new cloths, I want to continue to fish" What a friggin TROOPER So that's exactly what we did, though driving 20 minutes with a 350lb man in just his skivies ain't exactly the prettiest of sights Just kidding my friend! After the initial shock to the both of us, him going over board and me driving w/a semi clad man for 20 minutes we re-launched with his new set of sneakers, sox, underware, sweatpants and shirts around 11:30. I give him all the credit in the world for hanging tough and wanting to go back out on the water after such a bad start. 10 minutes on the water in 20-25 mph winds, he says I smell something burning!!! I look over my shoulder and the wires from the trolling motor are melting w/pretty little puffs of smoke coming from them Blown into shore, I fiddle a bit and we deside that after all the crap we went through, somehow we making the best of the day and staying out. Its always an adventure! managed to land 4 fish in a few hours all around 2-2 1/2lbs and Anthony atleast got to catch one himself. On the plus side nobody got hurt and Anthony's Blackberry started working again on our very uneventful ride back home. Looking forward to our next adventure Anthony!- A few repaints

Brutal day on the water! 30 mph winds and waves coming over the bow all day. 7 entries including myself for a total of 4 boats. Water temps had dropped about 8* from the previous week, which started out at 46 and a high for the day @ 51*. No fish in the boat until 10am, and the bite seemed to disappear as quick as is appeared, maybe lasting 30 minutes. I don't believe anything was caught up thight, though I know we all tried. Fished main lake points, flats adjacent to deep water and wind blown shorelines. Caught a 2.5 on on a baby minus 1 in sexy shad behind a wind blown point in 4-6ft of water. Dropped another in the 3lb range right @ the boat on the very next cast reaching for the net and thought that would do me in knowing 2 other boats had 2 fish a piece. Moved to the front side of that same point and landed another @ 2.6lbs. That was it for me for the day. Bassnri(bass resource) and his partner Bob dropped out around 11am due to battery problems with 2 fish in the livewell, sorry guys and wish you could have stuck it out. I beleive tbass as well as MatZZZZ all had to switch over to their back up batteries. Thankfully mine was brand new and lasted all day battling the winds. Though, the low batt alarm was going off at the end of the day. Paid out 1st and 2nd due to the low turnout. Feel free to add your story to this thread guys. 1st)Myself: 2 fish @ 5.2lbs for the win and lunker @ 2.5 2nd) tbass/NEF,Joe and partner Chris: 3 fish @ 3.8 lbs 3rd) MattZZZZ/NEF,Matt and partner Ryan: 1 fish @ .25, way to stick it out and hang in there guys! Bassnri/BR,Anothony and partner Bob. Dropped out: (Battery issues) A big thank you to eveyone that showed up in their cartoppers with the 30 mph winds. It was great meeting everyone! Hopefully we'll have better conditions and results for the Blackstone on the 26th. See ya all there!- New Car topper only Club RI/MA

Belville update; 6 confirmed with a few more on the fence. Still plenty of room- 4/2 report w/bestnetmanaround, Not the greatest of days, but still fun
Hit the water w/Brandon today. On the water by 8 off by 4. Water temps 47* upon arrival and 50-51 upon departure. Drizzle and clouds throughout the majority of the day with fog rollling in and out. Wind was extremely light. Started off with the same AT jig in GP red/GP blue w/GP crazy legs chigger craw. Around 10 am Brandon hooked up with a 2lb LM in 11-12' of h20 on the triple trout in bass pattern, which I think I now need , pretty nice looking lure. Not long after I picked one up around the same size on the jig at the same depth. The bite was tough and we worked hard for every bite. I got 2 more on the 5" black Power hawg, one around 2lbs and one in the 3lb range. Got my my last fish of the day around 3pm on the same jig as the 1st fish around 4lbs extremely tight to shore in about 4" of water under an overhang. As I was correcting an over run I felt a light tap, thought I was just hung up, set the hook and she's fighting back Wind kicked up a bit at the end of the day and it always seems to help. Fish were extremely spooky today and nothing on the slammer. But, as always alot laughs hanging out with Brandon, and with his new baby on the way, not sure how many outings he has left. Hope to get out with again Brandon before your fishing life ends and the new dad life begins!- PC Virus 'Time Bomb' Set to Go Off Within Hours
How does it blow the others away? Not very computer savy, but I was refering to Norton or McAfee as well as PC tools & Trend Micro which I've had in the past and always had problems w/viruses/Trojans( I know stay away fron those sites ;D) But since AVG was recommended I've had zero issues. I do also run Spybot S& D as well. I've run Malware detection tools from other developers and they find nothing as well. I think I spent $60 for a year of protection if I remember correctly and they back it with guaranteed removal and remote support if you do get a virus. So for me it's been well worth the investment. If I knew what the heck the others were that you recommeded I look into them for when my AVG subscription expires. Feed me and I will look into them. Thanks, Paul- PC Virus 'Time Bomb' Set to Go Off Within Hours
I purchased AVG on the advice of an internet security buff and so far so good. Been using it for 5 months and it blows the others away. There is a link for a free download at the bottom. Beware Conficker worm come April 1 Tue Mar 24, 2009 6:21PM EDT See Comments (1517) !In an event that hits the computer world only once every few years, security experts are racing against time to mitigate the impact of a bit of malware which is set to wreak havoc on a hard-coded date. As is often the case, that date is April 1. Malware creators love to target April Fool's Day with their wares, and the latest worm, called Conficker C, could be one of the most damaging attacks we've seen in years. Conficker first bubbled up in late 2008 and began making headlines in January as known infections topped 9 million computers. Now in its third variant, Conficker C, the worm has grown incredibly complicated, powerful, and virulent... though no one is quite sure exactly what it will do when D-Day arrives. Thanks in part to a quarter-million-dollar bounty on the head of the writer of the worm, offered by Microsoft, security researchers are aggressively digging into the worm's code as they attempt to engineer a cure or find the writer before the deadline. What's known so far is that on April 1, all infected computers will come under the control of a master machine located somewhere across the web, at which point anything's possible. Will the zombie machines become denial of service attack pawns, steal personal information, wipe hard drives, or simply manifest more traditional malware pop-ups and extortion-like come-ons designed to sell you phony security software? No one knows. Conficker is clever in the way it hides its tracks because it uses an enormous number of URLs to communicate with HQ. The first version of Conficker used just 250 addresses each day -- which security researchers and ICANN simply bought and/or disabled -- but Conficker C will up the ante to 50,000 addresses a day when it goes active, a number which simply can't be tracked and disabled by hand. At this point, you should be extra vigilant about protecting your PC: Patch Windows completely through Windows Update and update your anti-malware software as well. Make sure your antivirus software is actually running too, as Conficker may have disabled it. Microsoft also offers a free online safety scan here, which should be able to detect all Conficker versions __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Downadup (Conficker, Kido) infectionThe first version of this virus which is recognized by AVG as Downadup (alternativelly I-Worm.Generic) has been detected at the end of November / begining of December, 2008. Currently there are over 300 unique versions of this virus. AVG detects and protects against all known variants of the worm. The main mean of infecting computers used by this virus is a security vulnerability in Windows operating systems, which is described in MS Security Bulletin MS08-67 released on October 23, 2008 (including links for respective Windows update files). Apart from using this security vulnerability, the virus spreads also across local networks by attacking weak passwords for shared folders, and using the Autorun function on removable devices. To protect against the virus, it is necessary to install the mentioned Windows update and make sure your AVG is fully up-to-date. In case your computer is infected by this virus, it may not be possible to update your AVG Free correctly. In order to allow correct AVG Free update, please proceed as follows: Open Start -> Run. Type 'cmd'. In the opened command line windows type the following command and press Enter: net stop dnscache It will be possible to update your AVG Free now. Once updated, run an AVG scan to remove the infection: AVG Free -> Computer Scanner -> Scan whole computer When the scan is finished, please restart your computer. http://free.avg.com/download http://www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/viruses/worms/conficker.mspx http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm?s_cid=sah http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx- New Car topper only Club RI/MA
