A big pro for fluoro is it's resistance to UV damage.

I Did Not Know This About Life Jackets
In NY, all occupants of any boat underway, 21' or smaller must wear a PFD at all times From 11/1 through 4/1.

Finesse Jigging
No, that's the exact opposite of both marketing claims and my own personal experience. I have two and half year old InvisX on one of my reels. My son caught a 23" steelhead with it last week, no issues. This particular reel is out on the deck of my boat 90% of the time, and gets a ton of exposure.

Kill The Bass!
Smaller waters. I'm not sure about blue gill species, but I bet it comes down to geography/climate.

Kill The Bass!
Crappie are super efficient nest raiders. They physically designed for decimating fry. If rule number one for a good bass pond is to actually have bass in it, then rule number two is no crappie, lol.

Worm Rod And Reel
Look for deals on a 7' MH/F rod, and ahigher gear ratio reel with a metal frame.

More like Bill Dance. I broke it out of clumsiness, not anger, LMAO.

Purchase Opinion
Sprints were GOOD boats, with a lot of forward thinking features. Get the motor checked, and if the hull is solid, I'd buy it.

Dropped My Spool
That's really unlikely. In order for that bearing to take impact, something else would have to break, exposing the spool, or hit the spol itself. It's more likely you ding either bearing/bush supporting the crank shaft. Or you could just smash the front in, like I did to mine, LOL.

Dropped My Spool
Like OE said, as long as the lip where the line pays out is smooth, you should be good. I've done some pretty terrible things to gear, I can't imagine one drop killing it. Better safe than sorry. Good question!

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
It depends. That rod, and a few others are out in the sun, rain, whatever most of the time and need to be redone after two seasons. Others, like my float rod that gets out maybe a dozen times in the winter looks brand new after three years:

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
Here's a picture I just took of that rod after two years of constant use, and sitting on the deck of my boat exposed to the elements much of the time.

Terrible news, very sad to hear this.

OK, does rub or bind when retrieving?

Gaints Vs Patriots
The last go around was anything BUT a snoozefest, though. One of the better SB's in recent memory. I HATE both teams, for the record.

What To Pay For Used Reels?
Since you are blowing it up, try searching for Diawas, LOL.

Shimano Citica....help
Any 10mm wrench will work. If you want OE oil, just call Shimano and order it. It's $1.50 per bottle. 1-877-577-0600

Dropped My Spool
Does it rub or bind when put in free spool? If not, it's probably OK.

What To Pay For Used Reels?
Do a search for completed listings and see what that reel has been selling for.

Finesse Jigging
A lot of my "finesse" jigs are a little heavier than 3/16, so a medium/fast casting rig with 12# P-Line CXX works fine for me.
