Questioning my life choices
You have some negotiating leverage right now and could always add more vacation time to sweeten the package. Many employers are willing to do so. That leverage is going to disappear once this pandemic situation tapers, so start looking now. My queen just landed a dream job (for her, lol) after searching for six months. I say if you want a change, make that change. Unrelated, just curious...do you guys use something like AWS SES (Simple Email Service) for mass emails? I mean most email providers ding you for mass emails, and mark you as spam. Just wondering, because we ran into an issue with Multi Factor Authentication using email as a second factor as an alternative to SMS or QR codes. We predicted we'd get dinged after three emails, lol.

WHATS YOUR FAVORITE REEL OR ROD
- Would You Fish Out This? Could You?
The more I watch videos of the Caymas the more I really like this boat. Man, that's a haul to buy a boat.- Texas rig: pegged or free weight
Who isn't?- Any interest in trapping?
Kit-ah!- Texas rig: pegged or free weight
Exactly, and my experience has been that unless you are punching with a really heavy weight - essentially dropping the bait in front of them - the natural action of unpegged gets bit more often. I sometimes wonder if the "use the tiniest weight you can" crowd are also peggers. I don't have too many weights less than 3/8 oz.- Would You Fish Out This? Could You?
I'm not sure I shared this boat, @slonezp. This thing looks really nice: https://www.crevalleboats.com/models/24-hco-hybrid-boat/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwt-6LBhDlARIsAIPRQcKVY_YhANo753mBCPVVB4Udyt3omxtvwvRIZLUNgQ6xZ70n9NOIXnwaAlNnEALw_wcB- Do you have a preferred pocket knife while on the water?
I like this knife. I think I'm looking at this model - is that the one? https://southpawknives.com/arc-2-tig10.html- 1875 Pro V Bass Performance
WOT range is 5600-6200 so your well within range and that speed sounds about right. I wouldn't change a thing.- Would You Fish Out This? Could You?
Thanks Chris, I looked at them a while back, and they're beautiful boats, and have pretty much everything I want. The nearest dealer is 300 miles from me, so there's that part to consider. If there was a Pathfinder dealer close by, this would be a done deal, lol. There was a used 20' Pathfinder available locally, but it was a little too old and too small really for me to consider it. Maybe I need a boat to bridge the gap to my last boat....- Would You Fish Out This? Could You?
A catamaran isn't on the agenda. I'm sure they serve their purpose but they look like the VW Thing of the ocean.- JDM Daiwa Reels Question
I miss OT, been Salary Exempt for over 20 years now. I had quite a few Alphas platform reels, including all that are pictured here.- JDM Daiwa Reels Question
I had two, and they really don't like any water, lol. I was always buffing watermarks off the raw aluminum frame and crank side plate. Looked super slick though.- JDM Daiwa Reels Question
Keep in mind, some of these are at least 15 years old. They're gonna show some wear. They look like a few of mine if they sit in the rack for a month, lol. Doesn't require a professional cleaning to get rid the dust and cobwebs. The internals however could probably benefit from a pro cleaning though if they've really been sitting for a while.- JDM Daiwa Reels Question
None of the reels pictures look beat up to me. There's some dust and cobwebs, but nothing that warrants two paragraphs worth of criticism.- Do you have a preferred pocket knife while on the water?
NRS Co Pilot- Clips with spoons?
I get that too with all the zebra mussels growing on the pilings. Cut it off it's frayed or nicked.- Clips with spoons?
You know you can troll that twist out.- Clips with spoons?
That will be fine. I use Spro swivels too.- Clips with spoons?
Nope! Almost all the big trout and salmon I've ever posted caught outside of winter were caught on spoons this way. Works just like you think it's going to work.- need help catching jumping bass
If a bass is jumping like that for no apparent reason, it's probably a fight or flight situation. All fish will jump if threatened or if water quality os off. - Would You Fish Out This? Could You?
