  1. Already posted somewhere on here. Four A-rigs, now you're talking!
  2. Agreed, it's a warranty issue.
  3. I see a few with damaged Trip Plates - usually from unintentionally half pressing the thumb bar when fighting a fish.
  4. Jerk baits, top water plugs, sniper spinnerbait/buzz bait, dock rod for unweighted plastics.
  5. As kids, we had all sorts of animals, including rabbits. You can cage/litter train rabbits, though their urine is every bit as gross as a cat's. They make good pets, if you put in the time, and some will even get along with other animals. My grandmother had a German Shepherd Dog and a Belgian Lop rabbit that were best friends.
  6. LOL, that's cool. Truly nothing new in fishing!
  7. Fishpond will have something for you. They make GREAT stuff. http://fishpondusa.com/fishpondproducts.cfm
  8. How could we forget? Nice fish!
  9. Good to hear from you....sweet tow vehicle - nice rims! I was actually looking at a Fiat last week - need a grocery getter. I have a buddy that tows his wake boat with a Corvette Z06. I bet your rig gives that rig a run for its money!
  10. Great Lakes Multiple Choice..... 1. Five minutes later, "AWE MAN, IT"S A FREAKING _____________!!!!!!" a. Pike b. Channel Cat c. Trout d. Sheepshead
  11. Does the standard chicken rig use a punch skirt above the hook? That's the innovative part the video is sharing.
  12. I gotta ask, if it's defective, why don't you take it back? Or call Daiwa's warranty and service department? That shouldn't be happening at all, and is probably getting worse as you fish the reel.
  13. OK, it's a 3.8 ounce rod. You are saying he should switch to the 6-6? Those are 3.6 oz. I doubt that 0.2 makes a difference. I see what you are saying on paper, but in real life, I don't get it.
  14. I have set up quite a few people with MH or H spinning rods (not always easy to find, St. Croix has a AVS70MHF) and 4000 series Stradic spooled up with 40# braid for toads and frogs. You can even replace the oiled felt washers with dry Carbontex drag washers for even more power. It works great.
  15. Filing for financial aid is just a required step in the process of going to college. It's not a status thing, or statement about how you are going to pay. Everyone fills out the forms. PITA, but so is everything else about applying.
  16. Wait, I need to learn how to read...not together. I can't see it being "wrong," but what issue is this solving? Use a heavier keel weight if it won't stay down.
  17. If its badly dimpled and you are losing spool tension range, then replace it. Otherwise, it's normal wear.
  18. I've been using keel weighted hooks for years. Started with Mustads, but the newer Owners with the centering pin work the best - very sharp!
  19. Not to go too far OT, but....Up here, the water freezes almost instantly, as the line is reeled up. We use Pam or Chapstick on the guides so the icicles fall off easier. Braid is totally out of the question, as it freezes to itself. Yes, it's pretty silly to fish like this, but you do what you gotta do.
  20. Picnic table style "X" legs.
  21. A Honda motor? Buy American, man!
  22. You might want a ante virus if you install the internets and the googles.
  23. Can I point out that I am in western NY, while you are in TN? Not saying it doesn't get below freezing in TN, but I fish all winter long up here, and if micros were better, then the ice fisherman would be using them, and not the huge guides. Yes, I have two micro guide rods. They stop working very well when air temps are below 30°. The very best guides for feezing conditions are Recoils.
  24. Sticky bendix? Pull the cowl off, and peek under the flywheel to see if it's catching when you turn the key. A tiny shot of WD-40 will fix it if keeps sticking.
