  1. Sorry Catt, this time you are creating context and picking on other statements out of context. Fishing is full of contradictions, just like life. Get used to it.
  2. FLW banned him for at least one year.
  3. Catt, what would you do on Lake Erie? No, you can't hire a guide. When you don't have 40 years of experience on a water, then you have to look for fish. It's as simple as that.
  4. Click "Stop Watching Topic" at the top.
  5. Tie two half hitches with the braided tag end over the Alberto., Be sure to trim the fluoro tag really close. Never had ANY issues with the knot causing backlashes using up to 80# braid and 25# leaders.
  6. It means don't fish a spot simply because you caught fish there before. He's saying EXACTLY what you are saying Catt - know WHY to fish somewhere.
  7. Straight braid, unless you encounter abrasive cover, or deal with zebra mussels, then use a 3-6' leader of 12# fluoro or copoly. Use an Alberto knot to make the connection.
  8. He did get busted: http://www.bassmaster.com/news/fine-levied-northern-open
  9. At first, his finger style reminded me of Ani, but as it continued, it's clear he's far more talented at it. Love 12-string sound. Thanks.
  10. No clue. Not three pound. Not even close. I kept 50 that were 11 to 14" that day. That was one of the fattest.
  11. LOL, I only had the camera out to capture my youngest marveling at it. He said, "I want to eat it's eyeballs!" My little freak show.
  12. Not even close....NY record yellow perch is over 3 lbs.
  13. I think we have a 13 cu. ft. unit. Wasn't expensive and really suits my small family's needs. No more "Awe crap, that won't fit in the freezer," issues.
  14. So, if I leave the GPS set off on the camera, I can safely drop my kids off at the playground with the white panel van parked in front? People that intentionally hurt children are usually people they know, not strangers on the internet.
  15. You have a leak somewhere. Unless its raining, I forget the plug, or the livewells overflow, no bilge.
  16. Be careful what you wish for. If you go to a draw format, and you think your success is dependent on control of the boat, then it is also slave to the draw.
  17. Or use sharper hooks, LOL. Seriously, what baits, and what's the details? Braid or braid with a leader might be the solution, but it might also be just a bandaid that covers up something else that's wrong.
  18. Yes, I had to sneak off to the competition to see them, though. LOL.
  19. Zero stretch is not always desirable in every fishing situation, and it is also not the ONLY attribute that braid improves upon other lines. Small diameter, high break strength are big time attributes, that may not matter as much in bass fishing, but are huge in trout and salmon realms.
  20. You don't think you're overreacting a bit? It's one fish, we all try our best, but nothing is perfect.
  21. That actually sounds like a pretty cool gig.
  22. So, one fish in a thousand you caught dies. Eat it, and forget about it. No one laments that hamburger they just wolfed down. I wouldn't get too upset, you let all those other fish go. Some may have not made it, either. One thing is for sure, all had the chance to make it. No fish in history survived release into Crisco Bay.
  23. Yeah, we got to get out there.
