  1. No, but you can put Powerbait scent on a Senko.
  2. Great, coffee everywhere. ;D
  3. In the situation I described above, no you don't. But on Erie, my avatar came from straight below me. The fish were at the base of a break. We fished for them "in the cone" of the graph. Could actually see the fish come to the bait. Reminded me of ice fishing with a flasher.
  4. I wouldn't use a cinch knot, but I know guys that do. I like the Palomar or Uni knot.

  6. Only if the break is steeper than 60°. I do agree that fishing uphill works well. In some places, it just isn't practical. Mountain lakes with sheer bluffs that drop straight down 20 feet or more are one example. You don't want to be right over the fish since you'll spook them, and there's really no way to fish uphill. Just gotta pay out enough slack line.
  7. I think you'd be more likely to see Instagage installed on a Curado. That's all the Castaic is anyway, a Curado B with Instagage.
  8. Actually, the funniest part is I actually have a 1650 case. But that was for back in the day when I was doing photography gigs. Three strobe heads, two cameras, and six lenses fit in there. The stands, tripods, and back drops traveled in a modified gym bag. The only thing I'm concerned about in the boat is water. I actually think a dry bag does a better job at that, even if you bring the camera out in the rain. If you seal it right, it will also float. The Pelican might float too, not sure about that, though.
  9. Yeah...... I thought that was the "American Dream." I mean, that's how it workeed for my great grandparents when they emigrated........ At any rate, the wheels have come off this one.
  10. Dude, "bush league" goes back 100 years. "Busch League" is what, 20 years old? And you are actually referencing the urban dictionary? LOL.
  11. Its "bush league," bro. In fact, urban dictionary says its bush league to correct a mods spelling. LOL :D
  12. I might "swing by" Saturday, but its a very slim chance. I'll be fishing Santee-Cooper the week before the roadtrip.
  13. I had a huge steelhead buck in one of my local ditches that broke three rods, and many, many leaders. He had a name that I can't say here. ;D
  14. No, I meant what I typed: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-bush-league.htm
  15. There are numerous reviews here on them. Most not too positive. I'm not trying them anytime soon.
  16. You probably need a new pawl and worm gear. Have DVT replace these parts for you.
  17. Dude, learn how to handle your fish. This isn't catch and release. Its catch, abuse, release, and maybe live. Bass in the mud is bush league. Here's a starter article for you: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fish1.html
  18. Flying on a private jet even faster to even more lakes to catch even more fish. That is really how it works. I can see this is going nowhere.
  19. That is a huge point. Many guys don't realize just how far some of us will travel to fish. Travel is expensive. I am not content to fish the local pond. That can be fun, but only for so long.
  20. They are available on all the common websites...Cabela's, BPS, TW, etc.
  21. LOL, yeah, I know. People go way overboard on camera storage. When I'm not on the water, a simple Domke reporter's bag is all I use. You can't get the shot if you're fumbling around, getting you gear out of storage. Without that camera, I wouldn't have been able to make this:
  22. Anytime a noewb tries anything new, they are out of their comfort zone. You can go ahead and fish whatever baits worked that first spring you fished for bass, and wonder where the fish are in summer, or try something new.
  23. Forcing yourself outside of your comfort zone.
  24. Its titled wrongly. The video clearly depicts an Alberto knot, which is a variation of an albright knot: http://www.animatedknots.com/albright/index.php
