  1. Green Sunfish, or Lepomis cyanellus. Not a hybrid.
  2. Thanks. Yeah, band called Veluxe. They have a sound that's like velvet peanut butter. Ok, not really - more indie.
  3. If for some reason the world was turned upside down, I'd be buying the Supreme - faster gear ratio and weight would be my selling points. That said, I've seen quite a few used Presidents, and they are tough little buggers. Flooger makes a good spinner, can't really screw up with either.
  4. Berkley Power Trout Dough on a catfish rig. Slide a small egg weight onto mainline, tie on a barrel swivel, tie an 18" leader to that, and then a small hook. Use just enough dough to float the hook.
  5. Put the cam in Raw+JPEG...set it and forget it!!!!! Here's a beaut: Don't ask, I don't know.
  6. I use oil. I really don't know what is best. Grease is probably better for long term use. Oil is faster, that's for sure.
  7. Its all in the Morse Code, man. This will help: http://morsecode.scphillips.com/jtranslator.html
  8. This reel has zero ball bearing, but a few metal bushings, and its every bit as smooth as a new reel. Old Daiwa Black Widow BW2
  9. Because they worked. They wore out quicker, but needed less maintenance. Smoothness would be having the crank stack supported by ball bearings at the base and side plate, packed with grease. If the AR roller is packed with grease, that will add to smoothness as well. I don't really like that set up. Frame bearing packed with grease, AR swabbed with quality oil, and side plate bearing (below the drag springs) lightly oiled. Lots of speed, and smoothness.
  10. All my reels have Smooth Drags Carbontex. The carbon fiber drags in the Abus is not coated in the same manner as the real Carbontex, and they lose some of their max drag with time. Not really a big deal, though I've replaced many Abu drags.
  11. That's justsick..... it'll go for $360 in the last minutes.
  12. So......how'd you do? :-?
  13. The 100 holds 140/14. My SB reel (Calcutta 200B) is spooled with 25# CXX, and with the right bait, I can pretty much spool it.
  14. Fixed. Next off topic post gets a week's vacation.
  15. Not enough capacity - not even close. I use mine for jigs, t-rigs, and frogs. Probably one the finest pitching reels you can get is a TD-X HSDL.
  16. Unless Page, AZ got moved to Japan, that's a "no, you don't." They're American made baits, as evidenced by the little USA flag on the package.

  19. LMAO, I thought about buying it when it was on clearance.

  22. Those reels weighed a little over 9 oz., which is pretty light. I have four, in various flavors. Good reels.
  23. If you want to bring in smaller reels into the discussion, then the 2508 beats them all, though if you can probably only tell the difference in 0.1 oz. if you really squint, LOL. Apples to apples..... At any rate, a Flooger/Revo <> Steez.
  24. Great, jet skis that sneak up on you. :
