  1. The Steez 2500 and the CI4 2500 are the two lightest, if you are comparing similar line capacities, in a bass sized package.
  2. Bare minimum? I have to want the reel.

  6. Roger what RW said. I just bought a gently used 783C IMX from the Flea Market here on the forums for 130. Looks almost brand new. I have made several bigger pucrhases (reels, etc) here on the forums and have had good experiences. Can't go wrong w/ the IMX, they "telegraph" almost like a GLX -.-- --- ..- / .... .- ...- . / .- / -... .. - . ;D ;D ;D
  7. It doesn't matter what Russ, you, or I think it is. Its what G. Loomis' Service Department says. I'd call them, see if they will honor the Xpediter Service on this rod. My bet, no. The retailer should deal with the rod appropriately. A certain amount of "damaged inventory" should be built into their plan.
  8. I know some.....they're afraid to post. ;D And Quantum's service has been A+ for all my dealings with them, which is probably a lot more than one weird scheme to turn in a $24 combo for repair.
  9. That's a nice shot. You should have put that sucker on timer, and jumped into the sunlight....or better yet, have a model there, LOL. You can use the spot meter, and manual mode to expose for the sunlit spot, and then bring up the rest of the scene using a combination of Fill Light in Camera Raw, and a controlled dodge and burn using this method: http://www.thelightsright.com/DodgingAndBurning
  10. Beautiful shots. I bet you gets LOTS of onlookers. I know I do when I'm in my kayak. I've fished from a SUP. Anyone can paddle a SUP, there are some really stable models out there. Not the most convenient fishing tool, but the boat is certainly lightweight. Paddling didn't seem as good a use of energy than in a kayak. Not enough storage for me either. I do enjoy the workout you get with a couple miles on a SUP, provided you use proper technique. And there is a certain novelty to fishing from a floating board. I haven't been in anything more than light chop. I wonder how a SUP handles rougher water. I know a friend that has been out in some pretty big waves with his.
  11. Used to play with a guy that used a legit vintage SG. Loved that thing.
  12. There are over 360 species of crawfish in the US. One, the "Rusty Crawfish" (Orconectes rusticus) is an invasive species in several areas outside their native Ohio that displace other, indigenous species.
