Graphite or "Plastic" haters
Depends on the quality of the mixture. I have Daiwas from the mid 80s that still work fine. They don't have infinite AR, so they sit in a drawer, but they still work fine.

Tackle box questions
Yes, exactly. I have WAY more tackle than I can possibly ever need, and I'm always testing tackle from our sponsors. I basically have a dozen or so boxes I've put together as kits, with the current baits I want to try, or baits I like to fish. The rest are organized by type. Those are what I pick from.

Question about boat storage...
Yes, you need to charge the batteries after every trip. It would be a HUGE pain to pull them every time.

Tournament strategy
Once you've worked out what your fishing plan is either through pre-fishing or off the water analysis, and where you want to fish, then it's time for practice. Map out your route or milk run, so to speak. The Routes plug in for the Navionics phone app is really helpful for this. You can get a pretty good estimate of how much time it takes to get from spot to spot. That helps with knowing when you need to time-box a spot, and whether you have enough time to get to a spot, and back to the weigh in on time. You can even set up a few alternate routes, should your fishing plan falls apart.

Inflatable PFD, auto or manual?
I wear a PFD not because I think it *might* save me in an accident, but more for when I'm fishing. There's a much greater chance me tripping on the deck.

Age for hauling boat to the lake
Reminds me of a funny story. When I was 13, and working at my family's restaurant, I would take a wheelbarrow across a busy 4-lane road to the bank to buy change for the registers. When my grandmother found out, she was not happy. My uncle's solution was to let me drive his truck across the street to get the change. It was a different era....

Inflatable PFD, auto or manual?
Some prefer to use the very least. All automatics have a manual override.

It really makes putting things together for a kayak trip easier.

Tackle box questions
I use Hydrflo Stowaway boxes from Plano. They are organized by what combo I use to throw them. That way, I can pick and choose what rods and which boxes to bring.

Humminbird Transducer Cable Question
I've pinched a few cables in my days, never actually killed one.

Would you want MLF to come to your home lake or area?
They held an MLF on Chautauqua Lake. I have no idea what it was like, since I wasn't anywhere near it at the time. There have been several BASS events on Oneida Lake, even some Elites. That lake is crowded every weekend, so I just hit another lake if there's a big event.

Humminbird Transducer Cable Question
Pretty sure I recently saw someone posting a splice kit, recently. I always thought the whole thing was toast, but I guess not.
