  1. Uh oh, WaveWalk has competition! http://wavewalk.com/blog/
  2. Thanks. It was a real pain with my Xpress. Might be because it was at a steep ramp.
  3. So, a 10 for LZ. Here's Michelle and I from somewhere around 2002. Full line up Michelle Austin: guitar, vocal J Francho: trap set, minor grunting Josh McJosh: bass Eric Katerle: guitar, cat noises
  4. It's funny, I was frustrated by a bunch of things, and Michelle put it on for me to play along and get some of that frustration out. Worked like a charm. Bonzo always does!
  5. Just dropping a ten on Kashmir.
  6. 0. The worst.
  7. Mend It! is your friend!
  8. CHIRP technology can show a fish that doesn't have a swim bladder, like tuna. Usually at the lower frequencies. Though mostly at the high frequencies we use, it's the air bladder coming back. The Vexilar site explains it well. http://vexilar.com/blog/2014/08/28/how-sonar-works
  9. ^^^ 7.0 Infectious melody.
  10. The plastic is really soft, so no issues hooking up with the 6/0.
  11. I got to try out the BooYah Flex II baits last year. While they didn't blow me away as something new or different, they caught. I found I had them tied on my square bill/trap rod more than anything else last prespawn. So, I guess they became my favorite without realizing it. I'll be digging around this week, looking for them.
  12. One of my favorites in weeds. Rig the 6" with a 6/0 Owner Beast 1/4 oz. and have at it.
  13. I don't why tin is for "structured water" and glass is for open. When I had a 22' glass rig and an 18' tin, I preferred the tin Xpress on Erie and Ontario. The Bullet was nice for calmer, inland waters.
  14. I guess we're dodging that bullet in WNY....
  15. My take is that after all the Bass Pro takeovers had some of these builders chomping at the bit to do something new, but they had to wait for their non compete contracts to run out. It's not just Ranger people; other manus are represented as well.
  16. You generally mount a bracket to the base of the floor or one of the pontoons. There isn't enough torque from a 9.9 to require a full transom mount. If you do a google search for images using "pontoon kicker" hundreds of pictures will come back.
  17. It won't hurt anything.
  18. It's usually a dealer install.
  19. You won't be able to pull a tube with a 20 hp on a 'toon. You could add a smaller kicker motor. That's many guys do with their deep V's so we can run on 9.9 hp lakes here, but still use the bigger motor on unrestricted waters.
  20. Good advice from @Hawkeye21. No better resource than others that have been there, done that. I think you pushing it pretty close with the weight. You'll want test drive with weight burden on the hull, see what to expect. You can probably do this weight lifting gear. Put the weight where you intend to locate the actual battery and TM. Then take her out for a paddle. I know with my 80 lb. son on board, mine doesn't turn as easily, and we're barely at half the capacity.
  21. When I price out a RT188 with what's probably on that Z7, it's more like $36K. So, consider that part. Also, have you ever tried loading a bass boat using only the trolling motor? It's not a fun or ideal process.
  22. Legally, this is your answer. No, you CANNOT legally tow the boat with your Impala.
  23. What model kayak? You'll need to consider the weight capacity of the kayak. Also, you may need to register the boat after adding the motor. Personally, if I were going to put a motor on my kayak (Commander 140C), it would be the Toqeedo Ultralight: https://www.torqeedo.com/us/en-us/products/outboards/ultralight
  24. We don't do charities, unless they are an official BassResource charity, like our veteran's program and the hurricane relief we did a few years ago. I have no problem leaving this up, since you can't be the only one to ever try this, and maybe someone can help you out.
