How far will a senko sink?
It will sink until it hits bottom, like any sinking bait.

Bass fishing in the USA.
Perch are classified as a game fish in NY. There is even a limit. They used to be a commercially harvested species prior to to that classification. Interestingly, largemouth were recently downgraded, allowing them to be farmed and sold as food. The issue we anglers had with that was how to know that the bass being sold weren't poached. At any rate, in this state the matter of classification ha more to do with the laws and not opinion. Personally, perch caught in cooler fall and winter seasons are one of my favorite fish to eat. Bass, not so much. Walleye are good any time of year. So are northern pike.

Bass fishing in the USA.
So you're clear, the bass are often initially introduced to a new lake, and then time and nature do the rest. It isn't a "put and take" situation, like you see with trout.

This Bass Scene Seems... Toxic?
Any sponsorships that I have had, I was approached by either the company leaders themselves, or a regional pro staff manager. I generally stuck to top tier, and second tier sponsorships. Not a discount coupon. I could care less for that, and generally avoid companies' products that use this technique. I am not currently sponsored by anyone, though I do a lot for our forum sponsors. Like any business transaction, have a signed contract that clearly defines your responsibility and compensation.

Would a DD crankbait rod serve well as a swimbait rod?
I can use/get by with a DD crank on my swimbait rod, but I really don't like swimbaits on my DD rod. I'd look at it more from the perspective of what you'll throw more often.

Pre- rigged swimbaits
Huddleston, Mattlures, Optimum, Savage Gear all make good baits that have a proven record for me.

New PB !!! Finally
Nice!

Lund is on the way
I use it side by side with 2D. When there are few weeds, and fishing deep, the target separation of DI is better. Especially if you are on top of a bait ball with a few predators.

But how are they going to see it?
There's always some big fish shallow, but by and large, outside of a a few seasonal windows there are more, bigger fish deeper.

Senko action
It's really more a mind set change. I'm a deep, structure guy. Skipping senkos by and under docks produces where I fish, but rarely anything big. For me, it's more of a milk run to catch something, if not big.

But how are they going to see it?
Electronics just help me paint a mental picture of what's under the boat. I'm a structure guy, and I don't care if I don't see fish. So often, I find the right stuff, and low and behold, I will watch them literally come out of nowhere, to my bait, and it's on. To answer an earlier question, fish deeper and slower than you usually fish to find the big girls. It sounds general, but it's true.

Senko action
Teckel Sprinker low.

Senko action
It was a joke referring to fact that when they aren't biting is about the only time I use a Senko. I generally use a Gamakatso Wide Gap Finesse hook for wacky, and I actually skewer the bait, most times. I call the "gave up" rig.

Senko action
I had a tough day fishing last week, so I quit fishing and tied on a senko!

But how are they going to see it?
Simply put, a bass has bass eyes. You have human eyes. They aren't the same.

Fuel Gauge Not Accurate
I think what happens is condensation forms right on the top of the tank, where the sending unit is, and corrodes the connection. Either that, or whatever is inside the tank gets stuck.

NY Finger Lakes: Honeoye and Hemlock
Burn a spinnerbait over the tops of the weed beds if you want to catch one of those pickerel.

Fuel Gauge Not Accurate
I've yet to own a boat that had an accurate gas gauge, lol. I don't fill up every trip, but I do check the tank visually.

Average joe tournament
I'm always gonna get stuck on the "no electronics" part. To me, it's a safety issue, and completely unenforceable given the fact that everyone has a smart phone, and access to either the Navionics web app, or phone app. At that point, 1/2 the "find the fish" part is accomplished, if an angler has rudimentary knowledge of seasonal patterns. I also wouldn't dream of venturing out on the water without my graph head unit, irrespective of fishing or just pleasure. I always liked the "surprise location" part, and the club I was in for years conducted the classic this way. We all met at a central location, and picked a lake from a hat. The lakes were all the lakes we fished that year in the series. Not sure what you gain with a rod limit. Gear would be limited by the size of the boat, but not always. I've seen some 18' bass boats with 50 hp motors that fish and have nearly as much storage as my 21' 10" Bullet.

An odd and yet telling confrontation on social media
The old dump and run move, lol.

Lund is on the way
I'm looking at the 16' Pro Guide, with a kicker. There's a few lakes I fish that have a 17'/10 hp restriction. My buddy has a Rebel, and while the 9.9 kicker only gets you to around 6 mph, it beats rowing.

Lund is on the way
I'd be going with an Ulterra, and the biggest screens I could afford. Congrats on the Lund. Been looking at them myself.

Bears not a bear.
Please, not Hemlock! I fish there all the time.

Case plastics website?
After looking at the site more thoroughly, there's some interesting baits. I think I've only ever used their ringworm.
