  1. I'd say, leave it. Life's too short to worry about that stuff.
  2. It's really that simple. Clearer water is, clearer.
  3. According to the DEC, they don't exist here, despite numerous sightings, and a few hit by cars. There's some conspiracy theory that the DEC released them to control deer populations. Who knows.
  4. There's your problem. Definitely take it to a mechanic. Thermostat issues can lead to particularly bad problems.
  5. So, you stated your opinion on social media, some disagreed with you, and you feel hurt? Happens to me all the time here. 25,000+ posts, I'm sure all of them weren't in agreement with everyone.
  6. I use 1/8 oz. J-Will heads.

You should try some JJ's for those tails.
  8. Odd, the first site that comes up is correct when I search "case fishing lures".

    Owner Beasts.
  10. I can't speak for the Stingray product, but my Barry's aluminum foil isn't below the water line when the boat is on plane, so zero effect on top end.

Works great for me on anything but Elaztech baits.
  12. Typically, team format opens around here pay out places based on the number of entrants.
  13. There's a whole lot of exclusion in the rules you listed. That's fine, but it might be tough finding competitors. My favorite tournaments have always been team format, best five by 3 pm. Standard fishing rules apply. Simple.
  14. The only down side is the amount of line you'll have to use to fill the spool. Use a backer.
  15. I've been using Seaguar Finesse line in 7.2#. Has the diameter of typical 6# line. Feels a lot like Tatsu, handling wise.
  16. I car-topped my OK BGP on my Nissan Maxima, using a Thule rack and J cradles. My main issue on long trips was the gust of air as a semi passes. Ditched the J cradles, and secured it flat, and the issue was gone.
  17. I wouldn't bother with a weedless, unweighted senko. Some days, they want the bait to be on the weeds, or penetrate just a bit, so a Texas rig craw or worm with a 1/4 oz. weight works. Other times they want the bait to penetrate deeply, so you want to go 1/2 oz. or better. I also would not be looking close to shore.
  18. There's a few reasons why you'd want a jackplate, and that determines what you get. Contact Bob's, and tell them what you want to do: http://www.bobsmachine.com/
  19. This is a really nice boat for the money.

Kennebec are nice. I like having pockets.

LL Bean breathble waders. Buy once, lifetime warranty.
  22. Yes, I often anchor, or drag the closed anchor for a slower drift. I deep water , I have a drift sock. I don't use anything special for the line, but I do use a trolley. You want to use a deployment arm. The shoot through setups are tidy, but I don't care what anyone says, not as good. You definitely can't do it with DI/SI.
  23. Excellent advice ^^^
  24. That's my advice. A fish or lure doesn't pull back on the handle, it pulls back on the spool. If there's an issue there, then you can return/exchange it.
