  1. Series 29 12v marine deep cycle should be fine.
  2. I'm only 44, and I got it
  3. The "trout" I fish for are generally five to six times the size of the typical bass. I don't get too extravagant with my gear, but I'm not a cheapo, either. I use a 10' Shimano Convergence most often, in the smaller stream, and a 12' Browning in medium streams. I do have 15' Avid float rod for the big river, and the kings, and it did cost me a bit. Not as much as G.Loomis (maybe 1/3 as much), but at that length, the lighter weight is a huge gain. Those first two rods are around $80-120. I'm not recommending you use these lengths (these are for northern centerpin reels, and float techniques), but what I'm saying is you're usually using a rig with a strike indicator (drift/float rigs) or a moving bait, where it will be clear when you illicit a strike. I'm thinking a 6-7.5 foot, ML, mod. action rod would do. Depensing on the line size and size of the trout, I might go down to a L power.
  4. A quick google search would reveal that they assist families dealing with child abuse. Fishing can be a great teaching tool, and escape for anyone suffering mental illness.
  5. If the bracket is bolted, just shim the seat, and use longer bolts.
  6. Based on @Paul Roberts prose, he's been writing recently....
  7. I think they should try real hard to get Coughlin in there. What do I know....I'm a Dallas fan.
  8. You can usually come up with something if you google. Lots of coupon code sites out there.
  9. Most of the local sources are saying it's Lynn....
  10. Yes, the boat companies were recently acquired. I believe the Cabela's deal is under scrutiny.
  11. I find it hard to believe, given the recapitalization, and subsequent acquisition by Jarden or Newell (or whatever), but.....who knows. I would think most of those brands will be around.
  12. It's still there: http://jarden.jobs/pure-fishing/new-jobs/
  13. Tie one end to a scale, the other to an immovable object. Pull. If several test pulls reveal full break strength, then the line is ok.
  14. Good point. Probably wishful thinking.
  15. The problem is no one is allowed to fail, and learn from their mistakes. The Bills already suck, and have for years let their fans down. Maybe try building an organization that learns how to win. Oh, never mind, just mortgage it all away with trades for boom or (mostly) bust early draft picks.

Sounds like some browsers don't like the CSS. I know Glenn is on it.
  17. Test it, it's probably fine if it wasn't exposed to extreme temperatures or damaged by UV.
  18. That team runs all their talent out of town. What makes you think a good coach will change things?

Same place it's always been, under you're login name on the top menu bar. It's just on the left now. Click your avatar picture, and choose "Sign Out"
  20. It's a weird idea, patience. I'm patient enough to move around a lot, and search for any sign of smallies in the vast desert that is Lake Ontario. You wouldn't think I was patient by how many times I fire the big engine, and cruise around some gigantic super structure, locating the spot on the spot on the spot. The first spot might be the size of Disney World and all it's parking. The second, a football field. The third, ten square feet.
  21. I use pretty much all of them, though not the Shad or Frog so much. Spacemonkey and Craw are my favorites. I get various colors, but the Craw, Bama Craw is the only color I need. That and some JJ's and I get any combo I want.
  22. Ever get gel coat work done? That'll change your perspective in a heartbeat.
  23. Some of the more aggressive baits will foul themselves on limp braid. Personally, I use P-Line CXX or Tuf-Line Supercast for this. No need for a leader, just tie direct.
  24. Too big for what? I don't have issues getting bit using Moss Green CXX in 10 or 12# size in crystal clear waters.
  25. Head and bill is a little different.
