  1. Try it and report back.
  2. Here's a link to one method for shipping live fish great distances... Just remember, bass have spiny dorsal and anal fins that can poke through a plastic bag. We generally would triple and quadruple bag fish like this, e.g. large cichlids, sunfish, and catfish. http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/management/Dragonfish_Canada_Shipping_Asian_Arowana.html
  3. My point was, if that's about the speed I got on a boat that weighed 400 lbs., what does he expect from a 16' finished bass boat?
  4. Always wear a PFD when eating fish. Stay safe, guys.
  5. Not really missing out, just stupid debates about who's is bigger. Bass, I mean, lol.
  6. It's not like everyone can drive up here either…three wrecks on the 13 mile drive to work (all highway btw) - precipitation: 0.
  7. I think the fastest I got in a boat with a 9.9 was 22mph on GPS. That boat was a 14' semi v with three bench seats. That was with me (150 lbs wet) a tackle bag, anchor, and a few rods.
  8. Coprophagic…yum yum! Look up haddock, everyone's Lent fave, see what they eat.
  9. Why bother with a picture? Why bother even lifting the fish out of the water? Why not just dispense with hooks altogether? Better yet, I can stay home and play video games, and make up fish stories. The point is, who's business is it of yours if someone enjoys the competitive nature of fishing, whether it's a tournament or not? You never see the guys that weigh fish ask why you don't, unless you start making claims - which is pretty funny. So why are you concerned with the guy that does weigh them?
  10. Lol, I'm down to knotty chunks of elm and walnut that simply will not split. If it gets any colder, I may start burning furniture.
  11. I've eaten a few, they're gross. I much prefer smallmouth, and even then, I don't catch to keep. If one dies on me, so be it. It isn't terrible eating.
  12. That's nice, but what about fire wood, A-Jay?
  13. I use displacement. Mass is so millennial.
  14. Ok....so what does that have to do with Casey Ashley?
  15. Lol... I'll answer: 1. No. 2. Probably. Why? That's how a tournament works. The guy that has the biggest five fish wins. There's no awards for participation.
  16. Get the most reel you can afford up to around $250.
  17. Gonna be hard to find a lake that none of the pros fished before. Someone will ALWAYS have home field advantage. The have nots will ALWAYS whine about it.
  18. We already have a thread on the brush piles… stay on topic please.
  19. Yep, fathers day is one free day. There are a few other events, like take a soldier fishing on Oneida that are free dats too.
  20. I use SmugMug.com. I've got over 10,000 pictures uploaded. There is a small yearly charge, but there is a referral program. I have a coupon code for $5 off. If you are interested, send me a PM. I've been with them since 2005, and very satisfied.
  21. I use a medium power, x-fast rod with topwaters. I find it gives me more control with twitch/walking baits.
  22. My starter is an old original in black with a little yellow on the side.
  23. Already have several threads announcing this in Tournament Talk. Thanks!
  24. I have a bunch of junked Quantums in the Johnny Junkyard. If you can't find what you need, post a picture of the part - I might have it.
