  1. Owner ST-36 or VMC Vanadium Inline hooks. Same size that was OE.
  2. Green trout, you have a lot rules in your fishing. One thing I've found, there's no hard fast rules.
  3. No. All a buzzbaits is, is a problem solver. It is a bait that makes noise, splashes water, runs on the surface without catching weeds, and covers water by moving quickly. Anything else, is just an assumption about what goes through a fish's mind. I don't pretend to know this nor am I even sure they have a "mind" in the psychological sense. Oh yeah, some days a buzzbait is hard to beat. Getting bit on them is s real treat, and bonus: they're easy to fish. Done days, a popper gets bit better. Other days, there's no topwater bite.
  4. I don't play golf.
  5. 1. Don't worry about the weedless part. 2. Use a jig with a brush guard. Either way, you can leave the fat arm, or rip it off.
  6. Isn't Taylor Swift a brand of golf clubs?
  7. Yep, not as long as some guys up here - about ten years.
  8. I weigh just about every fish in a tournament, up until I have a limit. That way, I know what fish is due up to be culled and/or put on the balance beam.
  9. Coming here and insulting other anglers is probably not going to win you any respect on this forum.
  10. The truth hurts. Lol.
  11. I have two of this rod. I use it for drop shot, exclusively. Both have a Syradic CI4 2500 spooled with 6# Tatsu.
  12. He was your dad, so sorry for your loss.
  13. What Roger said is what I was "trolling" for. The notion that it's dead below the thermocline is total nonsense. It may be true some of the time, but not even close to all of the time. As it relates to bass fishing though, it might as well be. Even at the deepest, I'm fishing less than 50'. I might be in deeper, but the fish aren't.
  14. Take a look at Secret Weapon lures. I use them. Quality stuff. http://secretweaponlures.com
  15. It would probably work, but sounds underpowered. I have a 115 on a 18' Xpress with a 23p laser. Not that it really helps, but that boat is around 1400 lbs and loaded goes around 48-50.
  16. Why do trout, which need higher dissolved oxygen, live below the thermocline in Lake Ontario?
  17. I'll be getting new shoes and belt to match.
  18. People have some impression that at and below the thermocline is done sort of dead zone - far from true.
  19. I hope to have one in my hands shortly.
  20. Tighten the spool tension to what you would use when fishing and see if it's still a problem.
  21. All but one of my spinners are Avid.
  22. Some guys will always be more worried about what everyone else has, proclaiming it's too much, over the top, or use some other big word to deem it unhealthy. I say fish, share the knowledge and stop trying to cause trouble.
