Weightless Texas Rigged Plastic
When some says, "no offense," it usually means they're going to offend someone. Do a search, using what ever tool you like, for "Texas Rig." See what you get. It's not being anal, it's about being correct. Whenever a moderator gets it wrong, you guys are like sharks sniffing blood in the water, and jump all over it. But when we're right, we're "just being anal." Ok, sounds good. </thread>

What's My Rod Good For?
I'd set it up with 20# braid, and get a small chest pack for fly fishing. Load it up with a few simple baits, hooks, and leader line, and keep it all in the car. Toss a scale and a camera in with the mix and you're trophy hunting anywhere you drive.

Trolling Motor?
My 18' and 22' boats are both 24v, 80 lb. motors.

Weightless Texas Rigged Plastic
They don't smell the same either Catt. How many pictures on Tom Mann's worm, rigged weedless, with no weight do you get when you do a google search for Texas Rig? No one is doubting your cited origin of the rig, but as common bass fishing vernacular is concerned, a Texas Rig is a sliding weight, and plastic rigged weedless. Nothing you say can change the terminology millions of anglers have used for more than four decades.

St. Croix Mojo Action Question
Moderate taper, graphite sticks are all the rage for everything in Japan. Eventually, he will want a faster action for jigs and plastics, but learning with a moving bait will mean more casting, and more practice.

Weightless Texas Rigged Plastic
Just like a Texas Rig has a sinker, plastic worms have been referred to as "rubber worms" for decades. We still call T-rig worms "draggin' rubber worms."

He'll probably have an easier time learning to cast with the slower rod.

Tow Vehicle Mpg
Like driving ten miles to save a nickel on gas? Lol.

Tow Vehicle Mpg
I guess your time and effort, along with the fuel and mileage to harvest oil didn't figure in either. My cousin has been making bio diesel for over a decade. It's pretty cool. It's a lot of work, unless you are getting it from someone else that's doing all that harvesting and processing. It isn't a good reason to recommend a heavy duty diesel truck for a bass boat. Plus, you smell like French fries. It makes everybody hungry. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to drive a big truck - they're fun, and all the power is cool. But it isn't in the cards. Besides, I'd rather get the less expensive trucks, and have money to buy better gear.

17 cents s gallon? Apparently startup costs are atrocious and not part of the math. I'd like to see the break down of your biodiesel production. Sounds like a more expensive hobby than fishing. I'm literally lol.

Weightless Texas Rigged Plastic
Why call a Texas Rig weightless, if it doesn't include a weight? A Texas rig has a sliding bullet weight, and a weedless hooked plastic.

Weightless Texas Rigged Plastic
There's no such thing as a weightless Texas rig. In order to be called a Txas Rig, it must have a bullet weight and a weedless rigged plastic. Unweighted plastics rigged weedless, wacky, or nose hooked are classic bass catchers.
