  1. There's a ton of good baits that work. I like Roboworms, X-tail Shad, Shad-Shaped Worm, Gulp Alive Leeches and Minnows, 3" grubs, 3" paddle tails....the list could go on and on.
  2. I like the BBZ-1 Jr. Even smallies hit that thing, lol. Hudds, Mattlures G2 Gills, and Trashfish, MS Mini Slammers should be on everyone's starter bait list. I still throw them all.
  3. I actually like an older frog. I put them on the dash of my truck. Seems to soften the plastic body a bit. Or, maybe I'm crazy, and just like frogs on my dash.
  4. I think he wants to try braid....for that, start with 50# Power Pro, 832, or Tuf-Line XP. I'm sure there are similar lines, but those are easy to find and not too expensive.
  5. Save up $3 and get Invisx. Otherwise, try YZ Hybrid or CXX.
  6. 6-0 even for me. I believe it was a black Spro frog.
  7. No, no one bought me a sub. I've been getting it for at least a decade.
  8. The first two questions are subjective, though I'd say not really to both. I cast both equally as well, in much the same way, and for all around use, I prefer a strong copoly, like CXX. The third depends on what diameter line you are using.

Excepts in the Constitution for voting eligibility: Birth - "All persons born or naturalized" "are citizens" of the United States and the U.S. state where they reside (14th Amendment, 1868) "Race, color, or previous condition of servitude" - (15th Amendment, 1870) "On account of sex" - (19th Amendment, 1920) In Washington, D.C., presidential elections (23rd Amendment, 1961) (For federal elections) "By reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax" - (24th Amendment, 1964) (For state elections) Taxes - (14th Amendment; Harper v. Virginia Board of Elections, 383 U.S. 663 (1966)) "Who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of age" (26th Amendment, 1971). Nowhere is it mentioned that you can't vote if you're ignorant or stupid. Don't like it, get out and vote..... I think that's as far as this thread can go here.
  10. I use 50# Power Pro. Any 4- or 8- carrier braided PE line will do. They're all pretty good.
  11. Considering I never subscribed, I'd say they're doing fine, lol.
  12. Not sure what Fenwick you're looking at, but the Avid line represents that pinnacle of the "bang for your buck" in domestic built sticks. I have more than a dozen, and love them all.
  13. I'm not thinking pattern until I'm culling.

Being informed doesn't always preclude ignorance....depends on where you get your info. Campaign ads have gotten out of control. I'll stop there, before getting too political. I say just vote, even if it's along party lines - at least you've expressed your will, and most are pretty familiar with the broad stance on issues. I'm also not sure how voting works elsewhere, but in NY, we have several propositions on the back of the voter card - always check for those, and vote on them too!
  15. Color is on my list of things to pay attention to, but there's a lot more above it....location, profile, retrieve, fall rate, depth, etc... I stick to a small collection of colors - mostly based on on what I like, not fish. Rarely do I find it necessary to fine tune. One example would be red baits on Oneida in spring and fall. Don't have them, and you won't always do as well as someone that does.
  16. You're underestimating the power of the AVC70MM, but you can use the AVCMF for cranks. I actually prefer that taper for square bills, and ripping traps through weeds. You won't be throwing peanut sized cranks on it like you can the AVC70MM, though.
  17. Out of the six or seven rods I use for cranking, that would be my answer as well. I use the Avid, but the blanks are similar. Also handles hard swimbaits to just under an ounce.
  18. I don't specifically use swim jigs, but I'll swim a jig. They usually have a Rage Chunk on them. Rage Craws can swim with a T-rig, as well.
  19. Location and activity level. Sometimes you can catch what's not really biting, but like Catt said, you can't catch what's not there.
  20. Does it count that I caught it in a drum tournament? LOL.
  21. My state record smallmouth, from Oneida..... 17 lb. drum, lol.
  22. Isn't the Loomis spinnerbait rod burgundy as well? That would match up nice, too. Love those 2500 reels!
