  1. Some days, I rotate between 4-7 rigs with different baits on each. Look up "junk fishing." Good stuff to know.
  2. All the cups and rings do is keep the water from running up the shaft, keeping your grip dry. The rest that drips off the blade can't be stopped. If you don't want to get wet, get a dry suit. For the water inside your kayak/canoe, that's what a good natural sponge is for. Most SINK/Hybrid kayakers carry one.

    You got it.
  4. Based on how far I sent a CBD20 flying after it snapped off in the middle of the cast, I'd say that's how you want to cast for distance. Fray your fluoro just enough to hold on the back swing, but snap at the perfect moment when you release. Had to be a football field or more, lol.
  5. Pitching, no advantage. Flipping, a little more distance.

With one leg shorter, the frog always turns to one side on the slack line pause after the twitch. I guess it's *like* walking, but not the same. I have good days and bad days walking frogs. Luckily, the fish don't care how good I am at it.
  7. For some guys, losing expensive baits is some weird badge of honor that they see fit to brag about. I prefer bragging about what I caught on expensive baits, lol.
  8. Can't be any worse than going through a swarm of bugs at 80 mph.
  9. My friend, Mikey Five-Bass, went up there with Joe Sancho (Elite Pro) and a few other buddies and slayed them this past weekend. My FB feed is littered with fat guys holding up Mud Sharks, lol.
  10. This is what consumers asked for - lower price, more inventory. In almost every segment, the local, small retail business was edged out by a huge chain. Now we want some minimum wage employee to possess the same knowledge and personal customer service skills that those small retailers had. Do your own research. go prepared. If you can't find something, then hopefully someone will know where it is. If not, I guess you'll have to search all 5 fishing aisles for that one piece of terminal tackle you need. I rarely speak to anyone working the stores I shop, unless it's someone I know, or to pay for what I am buying. It's sad, but it's just a fact. Some places will figure out that having a few well compensated employees that actually add value beyond facing and stocking the shelves will put them ahead of the competition. Bass Pro seems to get, most of their guys are pretty good. Gander? Uh, not really. DSG? hit or miss. Usually I get asked if I need help by employees less interested in helping me, than they were told to greet every customer. Seems like this aspect doesn't matter to management, so long as internet sales and in store sales support their bottom line.
  11. I'll probably know a little more tonight, if I decide to hit the big lake. Not much going on as far as the ditches go for salmon, though. Not enough rain, and low flows. I imagine the Genny has bunch, though. Sandy should have some as well.
  12. My dream combo would do everything that all my other combos do, but better.
  13. As long as they aren't bent, and exposed to heat, they're fine.
  14. I don't have ANY issues with InvisX or Tatsu in 6# size on my 2500/3000 series Shimanos.
  15. Why not go to Pulaski? It's full on up there, right now.
  16. Not really. I have a few rods that don't fit in the rack, and I've leaned them up in the corner for years, with no ill effects.
  17. Breath and a t-shirt.
  18. Not in the short term. It's better to store them vertical for long term.
  19. The lure is brand new. I generally put the trolley where I want it. It helps to mock it up first, and go for a paddle, with the pad eyes duct taped on, and a length of cord, just to see if it will get in the way of fishing and/or paddling.
  20. Chine walking? If it only happens while your solo, then it's a weight distribution issue. That said, you can't "drive through it." You have to anticipate, and prevent it with steering input. There's some great YouTube vids out there that demonstrate it, and the corrections.
  21. There is no "best." Lures are problem solvers. Pick the lure that gets to the fish, and works in the cover present. From there, fine tune the presentation.
  22. Me too. I have literally taken the phone out of a driver's hands, and told them I'll send the message, if it's that important.
  23. They are annoying on some lakes. I do, however target their larger cousins, the northern pike.
  24. Here you go! This will help. I can't read posts too well that don't use punctuation and are all lowercase. http://spellcheckplus.com/ I hope you work your other issues out.
  25. The new knobs look great. Get in on it, guys!
