  1. If she spawns. 75% don't spawn at all.
  2. I don't think WI is a CCW in a bar state, is it?
  3. 3" Trout Powerworms....
  4. Depends on which line. InvisX or Tatsu, no issue. Something stiffer, yes.
  5. There is a title below moderators' avatars (like mine) that clearly indicate their role. You can also check their profile. Just a note to all, worry about yourselves, and let moderators take care of moderating. If something seems awry, or looks like it violates the forum rules, use the "report a post" link, instead of trying to handle it yourself, or getting confrontational.
  6. I know YOU know, but many probably do not, so I posted, clarifying meaningless, to most, semantics.
  7. The biggest I've seen was an 8-5 weighted in at a tournament on Keuka.
  8. This explains it: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/take-screen-capture-print-screen#take-screen-capture-print-screen=windows-7
  9. Paste is what you do after you "copy," which is what you did when you took the screen capture with Alt - PrtScr. Ctrl-v would be the shortcut for pasting what you copied.
  10. Dwight meant any USDM reels.....
  11. The last big one I heard about was around a decade ago, caught in CT, and it was a little over 9.
  12. OE, Alt -PrtScr and paste into Word or Paint.
  13. If you go that route, you'll want the oil slick, spiked rims, and ejector seat options.
  14. I too, have both Daiwa and Shimano spinning reels, and I can tell you for sure, an extra 6" per turn does make a difference. It's not a magic bullet, but it's a big improvement. I used to order shorter handles for the Daiwas. Not necessary with a 2500/3000 size CI4.
  15. You have to have a flat brim cap to use swimbaits. Anything else lacks style.
  16. Flattery will get you nowhere... I use both - I must be too stupid to choose one over the other. Here's an inefficient switch in action:
  17. Your issue is exactly why I picked my CI4 spinners. They pick up about 6" per turn more line than my old reels.
  18. Some may have moved past the "not skunking" phase, and into catching the bigger fish. Consistently finding bigger fish that are biting is a little more tricky. The trick is weeding through what you read, hear, and experience to build a "big bass instinct" that is hard to put on paper. If it doesn't matter that I go out on the same days as you, and always catch bigger fish, then keep on keepin' on - we're both having fun. You have to weed through the info, and decide if the question is about cathcing at all, or catching bigger and better. Same goes for the advice offered. The two are OFTEN mixed together in threads.
  19. Ferraris have always turned my screws. Almost bought a 308 before my son was born. Even started growing the mustache so I'd look good in it, lol.
  20. Count me in the braid with a leader camp. I think mine is setup with 20# 832 and 10# CXX for a leader.
  21. I use a stakeout pole - right through a scupper hole. In a pinch, I've simply used 1/2 of my 2- piece paddle, though I don't recommend this if it's a nice carbon fiber model, lol.
  22. Just like I can't imagine a drop shot in 30 FOW with a baitcaster, I can't really imagine chucking a 4+ oz. swimbait with a spinning reel. Those are extreme examples, but they demonstrate a point - there's a point where crossover ceases to exist, and choosing one over the other represents a disadvantage.
  23. Believe it or not, as big as the fishing industry is as a whole, it's still a "small world" type of feel. The face of many companies is that of a person - not a corporate image. Even some of the "bigger names." It's mostly run by anglers like you and I.
