  1. Most muffler shops do this. Cole Muffler did one years ago for my jeep.
  2. Try them and you'll get it.
  3. The only things I'd do is replace the stock drag washers with Carbintex and add a Hawgtech handle.
  4. Yep, this is why I do it myself. It's not as convenient, but at least I know it was done right.
  5. Hopefully this guy will get a wake up call, and get help. Addiction is full of "not yet" stories.
  6. Paddle fish are filter feeders, Bill. In this case, color made no difference. The only important thing for hooking one is a sharp hook. After that, it's all fish fighting skill. I've hooked 25 lb+ carp, and that's a ride. I can't imagine catching something as big as Jeff's fish. Crazy.
  7. I hear you. I have 30+ combos, but usually only grab a couple when I go shore fishing. Are they ever the right two? No, lol.
  8. Might have been the wind, but why use a sinking line with a topwater?
  9. There are several line makers that are IGFA certified, Maxima is one I know for sure because my friend has a line class record for Walleye on it. Weird sizes? Depends on your perspective. 22 lbs. is 10 kg, which is a standard size in many other countries.
  10. No problem learning on old line. Once you get the knot down pat, tie it on line your going to use, and test the knot. I use an old spring scale attached to a vice on my bench. That way I can get a good idea of how strong my knot is. Not everyone can tie every knot well, myself included. I tie a Palomar better than my buddy. He loses about 30% on the line strength, where I lose none. But he ties another knot so well, he uses that instead.
  11. Saw it on FB. Outstanding!
  12. Good to hear you guys are having a great time down there. Wish I could be there too.
  13. I don't know why this turned into a union rant, all that has to do with the original question is the reporting structure. To the op, tell your superior, whomever that is, union or not. The guy is a workplace menace.
  14. I'm with ya, Catt, I got whiskers. For the most part, even moving baits have to get to the bottom - cranks, spinnerbaits, spoons, etc. that's where I most often find the biters.
  15. I think that's what makes them such a good cold water bait - the ability to fish them as slow as needed.
  16. I'm colorblind blue. I still see blue as "blue." One eye is worse than the other. I just can't discriminate hue always, especially when it cones to teal or blue-green and turquoise. What this has to do with bass vision, I don't know. But I can still match my socks to my pants. Lol.
  17. Above 32* F. It's mor about cover and where the fish are positioned for me.
  18. I don't really care where in the mouth it gets hooked, so long as it stays hooked.
  19. I'm with Catt, the difference is academic. Some jig head designs seem to look better with one or the other. It probably has more to do with what hooks are available.
  20. Depends on the hook/bait. I replace trebles and worm hooks when dull.
  21. I use Tatsu or Invisx. Been using Tatsu since last year, Invisx for many. 6# is my preference for spinning.
  22. I'll keep that in mind next time I try to run one over, lol.
  23. If it's any consolation, I lose the tag end very occasionally during the fight. It hurts less now that we pour own weights.
  24. Remember, the drop shot is the only rig that you fish with both the main line and tag end. It's a little different in how the knot gets stressed than other terminal rigging.
  25. Anytime. They are great people. If you pick up any flies, chances are Eric's wife tied them.
