  1. You're catching them on spinnerbaits now.....I bet you can get bit on a buzzbait.
  2. This is a sick little rig. Give it some slack on the fall, and it loopty-loops. Pete Gluzek used it to win on Cayuga to get into the Classic.
  3. I'll have to try and make a video of it. You basically figure-8 the fish a few times before raising it's head above water to lip it.
  4. Look again, Feds are denying it.
  5. Federal officials are denying reports of an arrest. Oh boy, here we go.
  6. Scuff it and paint it. My buddy paints his every year.
  7. Conversely, if you use the t-stops, you can have a pegged t-rig or a modified c-rig in one. I know I've done that from the back of the boat during tournaments when there wasn't a flipping target available., just slide it up a couple feet, and chuck it to the deeper edge when the boater is working their target.
  8. Sure. You have my number? I-bay ramp by 6 PM.
  9. You can flip it. I'll show you sometime. Lary Dahlberg calls it, "down and dirty" and does it to huge fish on light tackle all the time. How do you think i landed this thing on 8# leader?
  10. 1. Bass Resource 2. Imodium AD 3. Burger King 4. 7-11 5. Ben & Jerry's
  11. Deep, the 50 is a ton smaller than a 200. They aren't much taller than a lo pro, in fact, might be smaller than many.
  12. You told me they all came on pink senkos????
  13. I agree. This smells like Oklahoma City.
  14. Nope. Or a chatterbait. A guy at the pond I was fishing was tossing both, and caught. Water temps couldn't have been more than high 40s.
  15. If you can, "roll" them over a couple times, back and forth, then bring their head out of the water and lip 'em. The roll over move disorients them for a few seconds, giving you time to react.
  16. I agree, and I also feel it's easier to keep the bait clean with a couple pops. That also draws strikes. If you have some clear water, watch your bait both pegged and unpegged. There's a huge difference.
  17. One guy breaks a rod flippin' in the jungle doesn't mean a thing. I wouldn't say "most pros" use them, but there are a half dozen top flight names using them. They're well made, if not a little better than others at that price point. If I needed more rods, I'd be looking hard at them.
  18. This is definitely a blue gill fed bass. That's all that's in this water, besides bass and crappie. Release shot:
  19. Wasn't really that big a fish, maybe 18-19". Fat, fat, fat, though.
  20. Dang it!!!!!!! Oh well, here's the pics from today:
  21. Woops! There's a spinning reel care sheet up there that is general enough that it applied.
  22. The washers can wear, especially if you're into the drag a lot. Stump tons if wear would be the line stacking at the top of the spool. Add a washer, problem solved.
  23. The Jika has pretty much replaced my T-rigging in light to moderately heavy cover. I still use a t-rid for dragging worms out in open flats, and for punching. Otherwise, the Jika works better for my style.
