What seems to never work for you...
A 3/4 ounce Black/blue war eagle spinnerbait at night is my favorite bait to throw. But I don’t own a single spinnerbait that is made to throw during the day. I hate them!!!!!

Tungsten vs lead.
Best way I can describe it. Tungsten is like making love unprotected. Lead is like wearing a condom. This is the only way I have figured out how to explain this to people. Once you go to tungsten you won’t go back. I tried

Whopper Ploppers
I am a hard core musky fisherman in the fall. Way before the WP came out I would catch big bass on the musky sized top raider. I always said I needed to make a smaller one for bass. I sure did miss out on that one

Best hook for flukes
I have my biggest payout tournament coming up. The fluke bite is on. I still have nightmares about all the large fish I’ve lost while fluke fishing. I changed to Trokar straight hooks and last time out I didn’t lose a fish, but last year I had 2 6# come up and swim off with the fluke totally out of sight in the fishes mouth to set hook and never feel the fish. Any info would be great

School Me On Top Water Poppers ?
I only throw the RICO popper. I became a firm believe when I was fishing a large payout tournament. The top water bite was on and I was catching 4-5 fish to my partners one. I also would go right behind other boats throwing poppers and catch fish.

Artificial fish attractors
What type of materials do you use in making brush piles for bass? I seem to be good at attracting crappie and small bass. Can't quit figure out the makings of a brush pile for larger bass.

Love a whopper plopper? Try these
Here are a few more lures that I feel would work great on big bass lakes. I have had success catching big bass on them on my lake which is a very poor bass lake. Worth a try. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Love a whopper plopper? Try these
This is for you guys that fish lake where a 8-10#+ largemouth is a possibility. my lake is know for world class musky. One of the go to lures In the fall is a Joe butcher top raider. They have been around for 20+ years. A 7# bass on my lake is something to talk about, and very rare. I have caught many in the fall throwing a top raider. They are exactly like a whopper plopper, just a bigger and taller profile. That of a 12-14 " bass or trout. You guys that fish for those giant bass might need to give them a try...... Ps... Your welcome.

Whopper plopper Alabama rig
Man!! I really missed out making $$$$. I have fished for musky for 20+ years. Since 1996 I have used a butcher topraider for musky, I have caught some huge largemouth on it. This lure is the size and profile of a 12-14" bass or trout. I allways said. "Man I should make a smaller version of this for bass." 15 years later we have the whopper plopper. Oh well.

Looking for bandit flat maxx deep runners
I am looking for bandit flat maxx deep running cranks. I don't know the color, but it's the bright red with black back and black lines on side of bait. They only make it in red now but they don't have the black lines on the side. Red craw is the color, but they dont produce them with the black lines. If anyone has any or knows where some are, I'm ready to buy asap. Thanks.

night fishing tips
My home lake from mid. june till sept. i fish night time tournament. I have fished them for more than 10 years. here are some things i have learned. less is more, only have enough rods out that you will use. i have broke many $$$$ rods at night. A spot light is a good idea also some kind of cap light. I use a flor. night light use this with clear/blue flor. line and you can see your line (i would not fish without one). as for lures, Bigger is better, bass key in on vibration at night. 10" worms, large jigs, large colorado blade spinnerbait (slow-role) crankbaits. color selection is easy, black, black/blue, blue flake.

Alley's Wholesale Tungsten
i find it funny reading some of these post, how we as fishermen and hunters, are so picky about or products we buy, talking about how we don't want inserts and how they are no as sensitive. and so on. what did fisherman and hunters do 20-80 years ago with just lead and other out ove date products. kind of like cave men ??????????????????? ;D

Tru Tungsten worm weight, line breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the only thing it could be then is that i set the hook to hard or use to light of line but i have used 12# mono , floro. for years and years. i bass fish 200 days a year part of my job is fishing and i had never had this happen to me before. all i'm saying is that no other lure i use has this problem. and i also tie my fathers hooks on for him and he uses lead so with the process of elimination i came up with this theory.

Tru Tungsten worm weight, line breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not bent out of shape, i am happy to hear that maybe its my fault. i can correct it! everyone i fish with say's i set the hook really hard. i manly use 12# mono and floro. i even had some breaks with braid. been bass fishing for 25 years. tied 1000's of knots. i think tru tungsten is great not knocking them. just asking question here to get answers thats all.

Tru Tungsten worm weight, line breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i am getting ready to order some tackle in a few days, i was thinking back to last year and what worked and what didn't . how can i forget. i lost MANY fish includeing a 8# + bass on a lake were if you talk of a 8#+ bass you better have the fish to back it up. it seems that when i set the hook that my line would break at the knot. i tie many diffrent knots, same result. i re-tie often i check for cuts and nicks all the time. the only thing i can come up with is the tru tungsten bullet weights, because i tie my dads hook and sinker on also and the only common diffrence is that he uses lead sinkers.he never had a break all year. has this happened to anyone else , and if so any suggestions. i love tungsten weights so i would like to keep useing them if there is a brand out there that will work. also the tru tungsten weight i have do not have inserts in them .

THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING HUMMINBIRD 797C2 BUT??????
So i have had my eyes on the Humminbird 797c2 for a long time, But before i drop $1000.00 on a fish finder i was wanting to know if anyone had one and what they though, is it a good investment or just money blown? when i go to the local Sportsmans Warehouse i am drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It has lots of feathers, but the side imaging screen is amazing. also does anyone know were i might be able to buy one for less than $1000.00 i looked on ebay but there just as high if not higher..................

Berkley Bungee Worm
i have used the bungee worm for years, my dad and i fish alot of tournaments on a heavly pressured lake and we catch LOTS of bass on them, we just t-rig them and worm them slow so the bait saits on the bottom and the tail recoils. i though alot of people used them and i was talking about how good tey are to some fishing buddys of mine and they asked, what is a bungee worm? so i quickly changed the subject and now i relize that not many people have herd about or use them. so back her on our home lake its my dads and i little secert.... DONT FORGET TO TEAR THE TAIL LOOSE SO THE TAIL WILL RECOIL. AND ALSO WE DONT SEEM TO CATCH MUCH ON THEM AFTER DARK, I GUESS THE SLIM PROFILE OF THE TAIL CONTRIBUTES TO THAT...

How do I know what lure and color are best to fish?
The main thing to remember is "match the hatch" if you are fishing a lake with lots of gizzard or thread fin shad then you want a bait that looks like that. i found in early spring that a black blue jig, or a bright red, yellow, orange flat crank does really well. a good rule of thumb is, if the water your fishing is clear then you want a more natural color, green pumpkin, pumpkin seed, cranks that look like the forage in the water your fishing, and with muddy water you want more bright colors, chart. yellow, green. and so on. i would suggest with worms get a few natural looking colors, and maybe so red shad black blue flake. thats just my personal opnion, there are thousands of lures out there but be carefull some are ment to catch fishermen not fish. So just stick to a few basic colors and get comfortable with them the last thing you want is a boat full of lures and diffrent colors and a unsure fisherman, you will be changeing lures more than fishing. So just pick a few and get confident with them i think this is the biggest key, being confident in the lure your using.
