Any use for parts of a broken rod?
We had a table at a fleamarket this past winter. I had two broken Berkely Inshore (online only as I have never seen these rods in a store) rods that I had brought with me, to ask a rod maker how I could possibly fix them. He said that a good rod maker, using an internal splint, epoxy and matching thread, could make them very usable again. He'd do it for about $45. I was willing to spend the money to see how they'd turn out. I had another customer ask how much I wanted for them. I told him they were broken. He still wanted them, said he was going to fix them. I didn't get to see how they'd turn out but, I made few bucks selling broken rods.

Tow vehicle trailer lights
It was the fuse for the trailer tail lights. Just had some time yesterday to dig into it. I put in a new fuse and the tester lit right up. All but the left tail was on. I pulled the cover off the light and found the plug was completely corroded. When I tried to pull it apart, one of the male pieces just crumbled and broke off inside the female side.

What do you mean by plug and play or wired in? Are you talking about the LED tester?

Tow vehicle trailer lights
One weekend I have all trailer lights, the next weekend, I don't. I have turn signals and brake lights, no tail or running lights. I bought one of those LED testers and was getting no indicator light on the tail light post. I installed a new plug and still have nothing. Any suggestions?

JDM items help me understand
A few years ago, I owned a Shimano Castaic (USDM) and Scorpion Quickfire (JDM). The Scorpion just felt smoother and more refined. I did not go into looking up the tolerances. The JDM just had a nicer feel to it. It wasn't just me, when I let friends fish with them, they said the same thing. I also have a JDM Calcutta 100D. It has an easily accessible side plate for brake adjustments that the USDM doesn't.

Snakehead Fishing in Maryland
My partner and I guide on the Mattawomen for snakehead and bass. It went from booming bonanza to very tough fishing. We still catch them but, man do you have to work hard. Bowfishermen not only decimate the fish but, the grasses too. That affects the largemouth. They use the outboard to run right at the edge of the hydrilla and spadderdock fields, a lot of the times leaving it quite a mess. Snakehead have their nitch in the ecosystem. 85% of their diet in the Potomac River system is banded killifish. There is zero proof the snakehead are affecting the forage base, bass or other native (relative term) fish in the water system. Snakehead breed many times per year. Their young have become a major food source for fish and birds.

Where can you buy snakehead meat?
You can possibly get them at fishmarkets in DC. The few licensed bowfisherman that are allowed to sell them, sell them to the fish mongers dealing in DC and southern MD.

No knowledge of Daiwa
A local, small tackle shop is having their annual spring sale. I stopped in today and found, two Wright & McGill Victory baitcasters for half retail, as well as a Team Daiwa 103PVA. All reels new and just having been sitting on the shelf since whenever. I checked out the tackletour review on the Victory, it got a 8.08 great review. I have always wondered about the Team Daiwa reels of that era but, never took the plunge. Stayed with Shimano. Real curious about the TD 103 PVA...
