Rain gear
After years of Frogg Toggs and the insides of both pants and jackets tearing out, I went with Frabill. I love the reticulated knees. Are they keeping me dry? I think so. I sweat when I move around when it's even 60 degrees outside. I put on a rainsuit and I am SOAKED in sweat when I take it off. Its better than being rained on and drenched I guess.

What's Your Striper Setup
On the Chesapeake Bay where stripers are one of the most sought after fish species, light tackle jiggers (LTG) start with 6' 6" MF rods and 20# braid with a leader. Nothing to pull fish out of except water so, it's all about drag and skill.

Uneven Spooling on Baitcasting Reel
Most people hold the tension between their thumb and finger. If you are favoring a side, the line will pile to that side. Make sure your thumb and finger tension is being held further away from the the reel dead center.

Tackle Wonderland Revisited
You could spend the weekend and not see everything. I am tempted to offer to organize the lures in the walls of Plano 360 boxes for trade.

Tackle Wonderland Revisited
I am in search of a rod so, I made another trip this morning. I posted about this guys "garage store" almost two years ago. I picked up a brand new old St Croix pistol grip glass rod, a Whopper Plopper and a Megabass popper for $60. If any of you (last time a couple of guys went) want to go, he welcomes you. I snapped a few pictures. The Lew's is made in Japan. The Diablo rod is made in Germany and is telescopic carbon fiber. He has an 8' and 10'. The tackle box in the picture he bought for $100 last night to add to his inventory. A lot of St Croix Premiers but, I was looking for at least Avids. The Mitchell has no bail, just a pick up. He had another old Mitchell that the bail could not be closed by hand, only by turning the handle. So much to browse, not enough time away from work to do it...

Got the St Croix Legend Glass
Years ago, Rick Clunn said that he could always reel slower if he "had" to but, he couldn't reel any faster if he "needed" to.

Rattlesnake roundup
People in MD talk about water moccasin sightings as well. All water snakes. I fished last fall in southern VA/northern NC. We saw cottonmouths. Believe me, when you see a real cottonmouth, you will never again mistake it for a water snake.

Quantum reels
I have a Smoke PT that smoked big reds to 39" in Louisiana with zero issues and continues to serve as a frog reel. I also have a EXO that I love.
