  1. Beautiful fish, looks nice and scenic at the lake too.
  2. nice fish sounds like a good time , but you guys kill me with that silly background blurring stuff
  3. I can tell you that pond has some nice ones we caught this one about a month ago there and we have hooked into a few other nice ones but lost them in the reeds. congrats on the good day
  4. sorry about the quality of the pic, of course i forgot my real camera and had to use my cell. but then again I think this one gets the point accross
  5. So this morning the last thing I wanted to do was get out of bed, but my buddy called at like 9:30 and was like lets go fishing for like 45 min. I grudgingly agreed after a minute or 2 of convincing. We went to a local pond about 5 min from our house and started to fish. We saw a couple of fish cruising that wouldnt hit anything. After a bout 20 min I moved to another side of the pond and saw what looked to be a nice fish cruising by. So I cast my T rigged grn pumpkin senko about 2 feet in front of her. On the fall she just stopped and didnt move further. I gave it a small twitch and she moved to about 1 foot away, one small twitch again and she nailed it. I set the hook nice and firmly and she took off like a shot started peeling drag. She put up a nice fight. I learned my lesson about sayionig no to fishing... dont ever do it
  6. Man I wish I had some pics but, I had to pack real light. I went to a lake I had heard about up in the hills near where I live. You have to hike 1/2 a mile in from where you park but it was well worth it. I ended up catching 9 bass and losing 2 more in the timber, all were caught on wacky rigged senkos. all in all it was a good day at a beautiful lake.
  7. I'd say its about 50/50 for me. Some days I just want to enjoy the outdoors and solitude, and others I just want to hang out with a buddy. Either way its a good day
  8. I live here in San Diego and Bass shops don't exist here somehow, even with all the monster bass produced here. all the shops cater to the offshore guys. Most stuff I have to scrounge up at walmart or buy online :'(
  9. Congrats man that really is cool, its not every day you get to be on or in a magazine ;D
  10. Welcome man, this is a great forum
  11. She sure was, back to spawn other behemoths
  12. 619bassman replied to Josh.'s topic in Fishing Reports
Not mine but a buddy wanted me to post this one for him
  13. My Friend went out fishing this afternoon after having a crappy day and had it turned around real fast. He caught this beauty in a bout 2 feet of water at a tiny local pond with a green pumpkin dinger. Gotta love the year round growing season.
  14. Take a chill pill man we dont want you to crap yer pants or anything
  15. San Diego may not be a bass anglers heaven due to all the silly regulations about only fishing on certain days and having to pay $5 a day just to fish. But if it werent for all that it sure would be close. Went out for about an hour this Sat morning and caught a couple of nice fish. heres a pic of one
  16. You are supposed to have an eastlake ID but as long as you fish on wed, sat, or sun Ive never had a problem. At the most theyll just ask you to leave, its happened to me a few times
  17. Any round or flat headed jig will work just fine for shakey head fishing. as far as the 3x worms go they are awesome. They float like no other and are nearly impossible to rip. You can easily catch 10+ fish with one worm
  18. Senkos are my number one bait, other than in deep water. I love to fish top water but if the top water bite is not on ill fish a senko, or if a fish misses my top water ill throw a senko as my follow up
  19. Yeah they are great worms but near impossible to rig on the screw in part on some jig heads. But I like to fish them texas rigged. Caught this one today on a 3x worm
  20. Well I went out to Upper Otay toady and broke the trend. I went for about an hour and caught 2 nice little bass on a green watermelon seed worm.
  21. I've had a hard time at otay too, but have been slaying them at the local ponds here in eastlake. whao knows whats up
  22. hey popeye if you ever need a partner im always glad to go. i live in chula vista, and fish otay from a tube all the time. i wouldnt mind giving my legs a break now and again.
  23. I'm a senko type bait fishing fanatic!!!! I generally fish a 5" senko, kinami wave, or dinger wacky rigged. Only Texas if an absolute must because of super heavy cover. But id rather loose a few baits because i ctch fish about 2 to 1 fishing wacky vs. texas rigged. I used to fish only Senkos but Kinamis and Dingers are also quite good. today I went out to a local pond for an hour and caught 4 fish in 45 min
  24. Heading out to Lower Otay again this morning. Not going in my tube, but on my buddies boat. Hopefully we'll nail a few, I've been having a rough time on Otay lately. I'll give a report later for any who are interested. I'm going to try and start documenting my trips some more. Late.
  25. I think its just silly to be blurring and all that. I mean give me a break nobody is going to find yer spot or "steal" your bait from a freaking picture
