Congrats on the new PB.

I fished it for a day with some buddies 2-3 years ago. At that time the property was being interrupted by mining construction equipment which really ruined the atmosphere of the place. They had drained one of the lakes & tried transplanting the fish to another lake. Our day consisted of good numbers of fish but nothing caught bigger than five pounds. We had four guys fishing out of two boats. The potash mining influence might have subsided as of now & the current downturn in the fertilizer industry.

Defier Armilo is made just for topwater applications. The regular Shooter Defier is for everything else. Great stuff.

I have shimano reel covers, TW covers and the Rod Glove Reel Covers. The rod glove covers do solve the problem of pinching the line. They are easier to install since your not stretching them to fit.

If you can't enjoy using tatsu you will never find a flouro to suit yourself. It is the best I have ever found. I always use braid with a leader but had a good friend fish with me on Erie using straight braid. On that particular day he caught two smallies over 6lbs fishing jerk baits. On that day it did not matter. He now has transitioned to braid with leader. Depending on what your presentation is you could use a short flouro leader or a longer one double the length of the rod.
