Musky fisherman often t- hook the front treble to minimize the front hook rubbing on the bait body during retreive. Bend two hook points 180 degree apart so they lay flat against the lure body.

I have never had any warranty concerns or maintenance concerns. High quality fishing reels are pretty failsafe. There are people who can service JDM reels state side in the rare case of needing service.

I have 5 different models of the certate. I'm a dyed in the wool shimano guy but prefer the certates for spinning reels. Yes I have the 2510 PEH. The PE models are designed for braid. They load the braid on the spool to maximize flow. The H stands for high gear. You can find info on the reels from numerous JDM sites. The certate has a magnetic oil bath sealed bearing on both the spool & the line guide.

Since you use 30lb braid I would go with a 2000 or 2500 size reel. The regular 2500 is a 4.8 gear ratio. The 2510PEH is made for braid & comes in a 6.0 gear ratio.

Good luck out there. All the reports I have heard indicate a change in the fishery from previous good years. Last year & this year so far seem to have the numbers but drastic reduction in quality fish over 5 lbs. Six lbers have been rare which was not the case previously.

Suffix performance braid has been out a lot longer than 832. It's a good braid but doesn't have the gore fiber strand that 832 has. 8 strand line versus 6.
