  4. If Roger is talking 10 to 12 pounders, he was talking smallmouth. We've got moderators here that have seen 10 pounders and even seen world records on their line. There have been multiple world record smallmouth caught and released out of Pickwick. In one tournament last march a 12 pound 3 ounce bronzeback caught but was foul hooked, so it was released. That had to hurt, but he did the right thing. Until there is some evidence to substantiate your comments I have a very hard time believing your comments. There has been no evidence of a recent 10 lb smallmouth caught in the last ten years. If you have any proof I would love to see it.
  5. . I have talked with the people at IGFA in Dania Beach headquarters of IGFA . I was told they certify spring scales more readily per scale tested for IGFA certification than they do digital scales. I was told that the scales that receive the highest rate of certification per scale tested by them are Boga spring scales. I was told that the most frequent digital scale approved was the Salter Brecknell digital scale. My reason for asking was to be able to carry a scale with me that had the most reasonable opportunity to be certified for a world record line class record. I personally carry a 15 lb Boga spring scale & a Salter Brecknell digital scale which weighs to the nearest 1/2 ounce for accuracy. If you want to get a scale certified by IGFA for a one year period for trips or other purposes the aforementioned scales are the easiest to get certified the first time through. I was told that some scales make take numerous entries before they can find one scale to certify.
  6. . We will believe it even more if you don't provide a picture.
  7. Yes from what I have heard. No experience with rods but have heard numerous guys say they had delays with rods and fees. I don't think EMS ships rods. FedEx & UPS have that market pretty much wrapped up. I heard a very high % of their shipments go to customs.
  8. Merry Christmas Lou. Yes I'm jealous of your pea as I have never caught one.
  9. I'll be eating fresh water drum (sheephead on lake erie) just as soon as I finish my big plate of carp.

  14. Lot's of favorites mentioned in here. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/108594-jerkbait-help-advice/ As to color I try to match baitfish colors for the body of water I'm fishing. If that doesn't work try bright colors or subdued colors/natural colors.
  15. Right back at you and all other bass resource members.
  16. Not always true if your willing to adapt. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/148114-how-to-beat-a-florida-cold-front/
