  1. Glad to see your on them.
  2. I think you keep it 68 to condition your wife to the cold. That's how you got her to go to Wisconsin this winter to trout fish.
  3. I'm a retired real estate appraiser with a part time job chasing smallies. .
  4. 75 partly sunny/cloudy here.
  5. I voted for shimano for bait casters but my best spinning reels are diawa.
  6. When your fishing deep water you should see fish on the bottom with your electronics. You can target them with jigs, drop shot, jigging spoons & blade baits. You can also try deep diving cranks. If your not finding fish on the bottom then it is possible they are suspended. Suspended fish often move away from a moving boat. These fish can be targeted with suspending jerkbaits, crankbaits or even topwaters baits if the water visibility is sufficient. If your catching fish but not marking them they are suspending. Bottom fish are generally not going to rise to a surface bait but suspending fish will.

I bought a buff to wear last year but only used it as a neck cover. I forced myself to try it this year in florida. For me it is comfortable over the neck & ears but under my nose since I wear glasses with fitover sun glasses. Over the nose causes my lens to fog up with every breath. Some companies make them with breathing slots for the mouth which would help with the fogging. You can pull it over a ball cap or wear the ball cap over it.
  8. Check with Hawgtech. Their cork handle might work.
  9. That's a very sweet photo. Great job as always.
  10. Steelhead like the pink worms too.
  11. Carefully now. There is always a smallie season coming. Wink, Wink.
  12. Jerkbaits suck. Totally overrated as a bass bait. Especially in the spring or fall
  13. Boy am I glad you got TWO.
  14. Hey Teal you might want to replace the water pump impeller while the lower unit is apart unless you have done so recently. Just a heads up.
  15. One heck of a good wife too!
  16. I hate it when a real dog doesn't win.
  17. To be politically correct it should be "Come' on Person" . Kinda loses the effect though.
  18. Sweet. Congrats on the new pb.
  19. So far some of the girls have bigger fish than some of the guys. WTG ladies.
  20. Well we all know which category you fall into J.
  21. My wife has fished a few times with me. She enjoys more action than none. At the time she caught this smallie it was bigger than my buddies. I got a lot of mileage rubbing that in until he caught a bigger one.
  22. The handle is very comfortable. I broke last years legend extreme & St Croix gave me the option of replacing it with the dd model or the new one. I chose the new one. Every rod I have ever owned was a cork handle. The new handle immediately felt at home when I started using it. I have the LXC78MHM for cranks, jerks & other treble hook baits & just got the LXC74HF for jigs, texas rigs & plastic swim baits. One of my buddies has the LXC78MHM on order.
