  1. Congrats on your new pb. The dd club is still a milestone.
  2. Well I have been waiting for the pictures & you did not disappoint. Congrats on a great trip & a great wife. The smiles tell it all.
  3. He use to have four of them. LOL Thanks A-Jay.
  4. All I can say is WOW!
  5. On my trailer the spare is mounted vertically near the bow about two feet short of the winch. It is mounted on a sturdy bracket that allows me to step on the top of the tire down to the horizontal trailer member. I often fish alone and this placement makes for easy launching/retrieval when by yourself.
  6. On erie they start spawning when the main lake temps hit 60-65 degrees from my experience. They will bed shallow but also deeper than I have heard or seen largemouth. You can spot beds out to 12 feet at least. Sand & gravel is the norm for beds.
  7. Congrats on finding an accomplished fishing partner. She sounds fishing gifted.
  8. I use a lot of the deep diving huskies. Probably have two boxes of them. I use them to cover deeper water. They will run as deep as 17-18 feet on a long line, small dia braid. The husky deep divers & smithwick deep divers have a similar action but subtly different.. I don't use the X-rap deep diver much. They have a more erratic action then the husky but are smaller in profile. The husky is better in colder water and the X-rap is better as a warmer water bait when the bass are more willing to chase.
  9. Hey Chris watch out for Speedbead. He will sneak into your boat before you know it. He snuck into mine.
  10. Boy I'm I ticked. I spent a few days on Guernsey with my wife & never imagined there were any bass on that island let alone any double digit bass. It's a channel island between England & France.
  11. It's because only old people have cash.
  12. Hit a jerkbait in 25 fow. You just never know.
  13. Even the music was good.
  14. Closest prediction wins a chicken dinner.
  15. I label all by jerk bait boxes as good, better, best & most expensive. Then I but all the crap baits in the most expensive box, the mediocre baits in the best box , the average baits in the better box & my most prized baits in the good box. My buddies always pull out the the most expensive box & the best box to select what baits they want to use. That leaves the good box exclusively for me. Never hurts to have an advantage.
  16. If it is anything like 1988 and the catholics vs the convicts Notre Dame wins & Brian Kelly joins Knute Rockne, Frank Leahy, Ara Parseghian, Dan Devine & Lou Holtz as national championship winners. A fairy tale ending for sure.
  17. Try Steve Daniel. Highly recommended. The Hawgtech team were on his Saturday radio show recently. http://www.okeechobeeprostevedaniel.com/default.html
  18. Happy anniversary.
  19. Not sea run but they are great lakes run basically the same. They return to the streams, rivers, etc where they were hatched or released as young smolts through stocking. The majority of their time is spent in open waters.
  20. A couple of Kansas cold weather troopers. Nice bag.
  21. Nice log goose. Obviously your preparation & attention to detail serves you well.
  22. Great outing. I especially liked those two water release shots.
