  1. Serious bookends. WTG Steve.
  2. I agree with John they are a quality product at a very fair price.
  3. I have had good luck with copper blade & white skirt on overcast days.
  4. Smallies will come up through the water column a long way to eat what they perceive to be a dying bait.
  5. Now I know why my first handle came only with the silver cap.
  6. My take on the composite is a blend of different fibers or materials. Some cranks rods are fiberglass, e glass or straight graphite. The composite is an attempt to take the best attribute of each material & blend the two together to make a better rod. Best thing to do is get one in your hands with a reel mounted on it & test it out.
  7. Black. Some guys do like the silver when the reel body is silver in color.
  8. Medium heavy moderate action. Croix makes them in the Avid line & Legend Extreme lines. Will handle baits up thru one ounce.
  9. Depends on who reconditioned it. Factory reconditions are probably a safe bet if the price is right. A quality service shop like DVT would be good as well.
  10. I'm not betting against you. You were pretty well DIALED in this year. Good luck.
  11. I could be your witness on both of those fine catches.
  12. Chris just knows how to get it done. I have two of that same rod in imx and I can tell you it is a mag light 6" stick. WTG Chris.
  13. Catch a pb on a jig or on a jerkbait.
  14. With or without live bait? Most erie dearie fisherman use a live nightcrawler. I guess you could use a paddle tail or plastic worm on there as well. It is just a weighted inline spinner bait. I have never used one for bass but I'm sure they would work. Kind of like the old june bug spinner but with a weight. I caught my first five lb largemouth in mogadore on a june bug spinner back in the 60's
  15. Nice trip. Looks like a lake erie frame on that last one.
  16. Sweet. That Lobster must be pretty tasty.
  17. Is that Captain Shane, Charlie Moore and the Boston Red Socks catcher Jarrod (Salty) Saltalamacchia? I better check with A-Jay about Salty since he is a lifetime Boston fan. No wonder I haven't been getting any boat time invites.
  18. Wealth of knowledge displayed throughout this thread for all to learn & enjoy. Thanks for all the info bass resource members.
  19. Vic is a really cool guy, very gracious & genuine.
  20. Yea but A-Jay is right that fish you caught has the most awesome head.
  21. This is such a great thread you should sticky it to the top of the page sir. Hint, hint
  22. Keep using that bait & the pb train will be whistling at your door.
  23. I got a pb largemouth this spring. I also got the privilege of netting a few pb's for fishing buddies this year. All in all it was a pretty good year.
