Stocked Fish... Records Or Not?
Probably not. Igfa states " No applications will be accepted for fish caught in hatchery waters or sanctuaries The catch must not be at variance with any laws or regulations governing the species or the waters in which it was caught." Your reference to landlocked salmon doesn't mean that the stocked salmon you caught was actually classified as a landlocked salmon. Stocked private ponds are usually excluded from most state records. You are catching some nice fish. Congrats.

Let Us Talk About Rod Action
BASSHUNTER1961 when I read your post I thought what you were implying is that you have grown to like using moderate action rods especially with braid. Except for jigs or bottom contact baits I have grown to like moderate action blanks with a lot of different techniques when using braid which is all of the time.

Yea or you give it to your wife. Have you seen any of the 2013 legend extreme blanks? Wandering how they compare to the 2012 blanks.

Changing It Up
Mark I think those twin boys will help you develop more patience. They will certainly help your cabin fever by keeping you busy. Try some finesse jerk bait fishing using plenty of slack time between twitches. Congrats on the twins.

Little Fish Or Skunked?
A good skunking motivates me. I'll fish all day for one big fish.

Bonus Fish
Caught on a lc pointer last fall while fishing for smallies.

Jig Weight
For me jig weight is determined by my ability to keep contact with the bottom. Varies with wind, waves, drifting or anchored up. Sometimes a heavier jig will let you tap bottom to actually call the fish in with the noise when fishing over rock. Like rattles in a crank bait.
