  1. Cool. Boston fan maybe?
  2. Steve you need to open a resturant. You always know when the big girls will be hungry & what they want to eat.
  3. Beauties Paul. You caught me by surprise with that first picture. At first glance it looks like your wearing a dangling earring on your left ear. Then I looked again & realized it was the spinner bait arm & blade. LOL.
  4. Welcome aboard. This is a great site. X2 on the Loomis interview really enjoyed that. Too bad your eastern PA instead of western PA because the smallies are bigger over here.
  5. One more just to keep your interest up.
  6. Captain Frank Campbell would be my choice. Also recommended by the In-Fisherman.
  7. Jerkbaits prespawn on lake erie. Doesn't get any sweeter than that for me.
  8. I have been using the amber lens. Besides being econimical for prescription eyeglass wearers they do provide extra safety protection from flying baits or used as safety glasses for other chores. I'm also sold on the concept because they give extra sunlight & wind protection.
  9. For anbody that did not know owner has made a new twistlock hook 3/32 oz weight in 6/0 & 5/0 & 4/0 disigned to Gary Yamamoto specs for senko style baits. It is a lighter wire hook that works great for all plastics when your looking for light weight presentations. Model 5167W-704 thru 706.
  10. The good-Slow down when jig fishing. The bad-Le'ts leave these fish to find some bigger ones in another spot.
  11. I'll bet if we traded one for one between us it would be a draw.
  12. Johnathan Paul fitovers. I wear them all day when fishing & don't feel any discomfort except when I get skunked. They have a sizing chart you can print out as a template to make sure you get the right size.
  13. Mike the F18's cast pretty good.
  14. Shimano conquest 100 on a custom Otterrod by Matt Davis.
  15. I use braid with mono leaders all the time. Don't buy into the three knot failure fallacy. I use a back to back uni knot to join leader to braid & have a almost never failure rate. Think about it. If you trust your first knot why can't you trust your 2nd & 3rd? Fly fisherman & saltwater guys have been using leaders to main line connections forever on world record fish. Tie it right and forget about it. When fishing low visibility water & fishing reaction bite lures you don't need a leader. When fishing clear water with great visibility you do need a low vis leader for finesse fishing, slow presentation, live bait etc. Sometimes you need a leader for abraision resistance. And don't forget the leader can add a little give or strech into your tackle.
  16. A big thank you. Great interview with lots of historic info & insight into GL's background.
  17. That's florida fishing at its best. New pb?
  18. Looks like the weather is improving. Nice bass too!
  19. I almost always enjoy the jumps & arial display. But if I think I have a big fish on I'll apply side pressure with the tip near or even under water to discourge jumping. The constant side pressure keeps the line tight and lets the rod maximize the pressure on the fish.
  20. Congrats on the new digs. Keep up the good work.
  21. I left the stock hooks on just to see how they would perform. They definately need split rings & hook changes before you go trophy hunting. The action seems fine.
  22. I tried one yesterday on the Big-O. Hooked a bass on the first cast. Bent out two trebles. I had changed out the split rings on the three I bought when I first got them. Three cast later I'm looking at it & realized the front lip is gone. Small sample of one. Junk based on four casts & one fish.
