Bass Magic vs. Shadalicious
I got a tip today on the Shadalicious. Boil the bait in water for a short period to loosen up the bait and make it more pliable. You might give it a try.

popper line
I use 14lb Suffix mono. Still allows plenty of action for the popper and keeps the bait floating on top. Suffix casts great.

Topwater Poppers
RICO. ultra sharp hooks, great finish, chicken feather tail on back hook. They spit water much better than other poppers I have used. Only drawback is the price.

Daiwa zillion over the reels i now have
I have a Zillion with 7:1 gear ratio. Really like it but it is a tad heavy. My next reel will be the Revo 7:1. $159 with a reel trade in at Bass Pro.

Crankin' Rod
Baitcaster is better for most applications. Try a 5:1 or slower baitcaster reel and for light balsa baits or baits like a Shad Rap, I like a spinning reel better. Less backlashes and more distance with the spinning reel with small crankbaits.

Flourocarbon opinions
Bass Pro XPS is made by Toray in Japan. Very good line I have used for several years. Goes on sale every year at this time at Bass Pro. Just bought $150 worth today. Check it out.

Berkley Sensation Line...Good or bad
Has anyone tried this? I have been using Suffix mono but the Berkley is on sale and I thought I would try it. Thanks for the assistance.

Pointer 100
I use 10lb flurocarbon with my pointers. They get a little deeper than mono and fluro is more sensitive. A great combination for suspending jerkbaits.

GLX BCR 853 7'1" vs. GLX BCR 854
Is there much difference in the rods and can the 853 handle 3/4 oz football jigs. Will normally use for deeper water jigs and maybe some flipping. Any input is appreciated. Getting ready to pull the trigger. Thanks gents.

Guides on Tablerock
I have used Tim Sainato and Buster Loving. Both are tournament fisherman but are very good guides as well. I would choose Buster Loving. He is a master with jerkbaits and football jigs. Good luck.
