  1. I have a couple and have caught quite a few fish on them. Really like them. Great hooks, great paint jobs and colors and I really like the eyes they have on them. I have the Cell Mate color and Rootbeer. I really like the Cell Mate in clearer water.
  2. I have a 2007 Ranger 1850 Reata which is very similar. Very stable boat that handles rough water extremely well. Back deck isn't large but big enough to fish from. Works great for me.
  3. Thinking about getting the 2008 version for Xmas. I am sure plenty of you have one. Right now I have the Lowrance $99 chip. Is the upgrade worth it and how do you like the 3D views? Thanks
  4. Has anyone tried one yet? My Lowrance 520C will probably be a thing of the past now.
  5. RC 1.5 and the 2.5
  6. Chatterbaits!!!
  7. I like the RC 1.5 & 2.5. I have also tied the Spro's Little John and really like it. It is about $5 cheaper than the RC 1.5 and is really a quality crankbait. If you want a great handmade squarebill for more $, try Brian's Bees. I have caught a bunch of fish with it. Many times behind the guy at the front of the boat.
  8. Stickbaits are the same as suspending jerkbaits. i.e., rogues; lucky craft pointers; husky jerks, etc.
  9. Lucky Craft pointer. Throws great in the wind.
  10. Deep Little N is a great crankbait. Give them a try.
  11. Anyone used them? Let me know your opinion and what size & color you like best. Thanks.
  12. I relly like Brian's Bees crankbaits. They are handmade in his shop in North Carolina. Check out his website.

I have had Bass Pro 100MPH for 5 or 6 years and they have performed very well. You can always catch them on sale around the end of February thru the first of April. Usually 25-30% off.

You want big hooks for that size of a crankbait. Just make sure you keep them sharp.
  16. The Loomis is way too heavy and I am a big Loomis fan and have a bunch of their rods.
  17. I am a huge Loomis fan and have a bunch of IMX and GLX's. But the Frog Rod seemed waaaay too heavy and stiff and I didn't buy it. I use an Old Flacon Gunsmoke 7" MH and it works great and is light.
  18. I had the same problem with mine. Mine kept showing LLLLLL across the screen. I called X Tools and told them the problem and they said to send it to them and they would send me a new one. Believe it or not, I got a new one in the mail in less than a week.
  19. Clunn is a great fisherman but this is like having one golf club for all your shots.
  20. I looked at the Loomis frog rod and thought it was way to heavy. I have 6 Loomis rods and backed off on buying this one. I use a Falcon for this application and it works fine.
  21. Storm Wiggle Wart in early spring and Fat BDS2 Lucky Craft in the late spring and fall.
  22. I would recommend changing line. The old line gets too much memory and develops flaws over time. Put some fresh line on and fish with confidence.
  23. I like them as trailers but like the Paca Craw chunks better. I have also tried the Zoom Super Speed Craws and really like the action the have as a jig trailer.
