It has been awhile since I have been on this site, and thought it was time to get back. Here is a picture of one of the two bass I caught ice fishing. I was targeting bluegill on 2# line. the other one was a little bigger. I don't get to catch LM very often, I always fish for SM.

found this at the fishing hole. It is a large water/mud hole in the road where it circles around that tree. It is pretty deep, froze up last week, snowed some on Friday. It was 1 degree this morning, it was left there yesterday. Needless to say it was froze in real good. Then the other people driving on it to get it out did the same thing, just not as deep, but just as stuck as the back tires on the ice aren't going to do anything. But this fishing wasn't too bad.

I have been out about 5 times so far this year. We just aren't getting the ice build up like we normally do. I have been fishing on 5-8 inches of ice at the lake. I am waiting for the other areas to ice up. This lake is the only one frozen right now within several hours drive.

The wavy appearance is from snow drifts that melted down and refroze. We had quite a bit of snow, then it warmed up and rained for over a week. We in this pic there was 6 inches, when i went on Thursday, there was 4-5 inches. But it has gotten cold again, things are freezing up good, some snow this this morning.

Last year I took the shelter every time we went. 95% of the time it stayed in the pickup. Those shelters are sure nice when the wind picks up (as long as they are anchored).

Started getting hits, but my 5 year old got cold (wind picked up) and he was mad at me for not bringing the shelter, so we had to leave early. Last time I don't bring the shelter with the boys.

Made it out fishing last week, here is a pic of the view. A little different than you guys down south.

We have had several good snow storms here in the last 2 weeks, but today was nice so I went ice fishing.

I watched the trailer the other night. I am going to see it, but it just won't be the same as the original, will be hard to beat.

Have you ever seen an EP hunt? no, not an english pointer, but have hunted with many different hunting breeds. English setters are pretty awesome, except that long hair that gets everything in it.

GSP are great, they cover the ground like nothing I ever seen. Great hunters and pets. They are like the energizer bunny, they keep going and going and going. They don't slow down for much, will go through a fence without slowing a bit. Mine cut her leg really bad.

I use geocaching.com also. There are a lot real close to here too. The boys are waiting to go again. Bassn Blvd, somebody might accidently find one, the risk of putting them out. Most are hid well enough to not accidently be found. Inside the box are different objects, and you can trade items and sign a log book when you find it.

That is what I told them, that it was a treasure hunt.

I took my boys geocaching for the first time tonight. They had a lot of fun. We found 2 with 45 min of leaving the house. They wanted to keep looking for more, but it was getting dark, and it was raining. We will be going again soon. Here are the pics with 2 found geocaches.

I made mine pretty cheap. I got the directions from cadman. very easy to do, and you can make the extra cups very very cheap so you can have a different cup for each color.

Would love see that again.
