  1. Rooster tails and 1 1/2" squirmin squirts.
  2. I have done it. They fight good. Our local Lions Club has an annual fishing derby for the carp, and they get a pretty good turnout. I have to brag that my team won two years in a row. Haven't been able to fish it the last few years. Carp are pretty fun to catch.
  3. Last year I caught a 21# carp on a 3" locally hand pured worm on my drop shot. What a fight it put up.
  4. Besides my bass boat, I have a 14' aluminum boat. I use a 54lb thrust motor on it. It moves the boat really well. This was my bass rig until I got my current rig. I still use the 14' for walleye, catfish, and waterfowling (it is camo). I have no regrets with going with the 54lb thrust motor. I also turned the head around to use it on the bow. Works great.
  5. You really should have a separate battery for your trolling motor. I love my on board charger, my batteries are always ready, and it would be a pain to charge 3 batteries separately.
  6. Powder pig, Was hoping to find some people around the area to fish with. Ever go into Utah and fish Willard Bay? I've been thinking about fishing there this summer, it is a 2 hr drive from where I live.
  7. Count me in too for the smallmouth. Here is my pic. I should be fishing by April.
  8. Where I live I have to order almost everything I use, so now I pour my own DS wieghts so I am always stocked up, and I am pouring my own jig heads too. I use the powder paints on them. I am waiting for my newest paints to get here from BPS, the new colors, junebug, watermelon, etc. For me it is a matter of convience.
  9. I use zoom finesse worms and sometimes 4 inch lizards. Just ordered some zoom meatheads to try out this year.
  10. Just wondering how many members are from Idaho, I am from Southern Idaho, and have been a member of this forum for about a week and have only seen posts from one Idaho member from Northern Idaho. What about from northern Utah?
  11. I love bandit cranks, I mostly use the 100 series, I have a few colors, pearl red eye and chart/black back are my best so far. I am getting more colors for this year to try, and I am also going to try some of their deeper cranks.
  12. Count me in too, but not till late april, which sounds like what it'll be. I still have ice here.
  13. I was wondering how many members are from Idaho, I live in southern Idaho.
  14. I use it from the first time my boat hits the water in the spring (have to wait for the thaw), till i can't put my boat on the water anymore in the fall.
  15. I use 1/16 oz jig heads with red hooks, and 1-1/2 in tubes. My favorite color is black/chart, but a variety of colors is good to have on hand to be able to see what their mood is. I have to drive 2 hours for crappies here in Idaho :'(, and it is illegal to use live minnows.
  16. I fish on the snake river and times it is pretty muddy. I do well with a rebel wee-R pearl/red eye. Haven't been able to get any more of them, so I switched to Bandit series 100, seems to do just as good.
  17. Lucky you, my fishing places are still frozen! We have been getting up to the 40's lately, but still in the 20's and teen's at night :'(
  18. here is my 1984 Lotus with my 2 boys (camo and orange shirts) and their cousins
