  1. Parts are easy to get, and I am going to call some repair shops and check to see if they work on them. And the way I see it it is like teaching a kid gun safety. Start out early teaching the kids to respect guns, and in this case an ATV, they will have a better respect for them when they are older. Most accidents I see are from kids who are not supervised, no helmets, and are turned loose on ATV's too big for them, and who have not had much experience with them. That is why am I going about this the way I am. I am teaching my son how to ride and respect the ATV. I am getting an ATV that gives me control. I control the speed, and I can shut it off with remote if I need to. Don't you think him being taught responsibly by me is completely different than turning him loose with friends when he is 12 or 13 with not much knowledge of the ATV?
  2. He wears a helmet. These small ATV's have throttle adjustments so you can control the max speed. Also have remote kill switches. He will never be out riding alone.
  3. Only dreams of catching smallmouths.
  4. That is cool. I was a volunteer firefighter for 7 years, and it was exciting at times. I also do ambulance. Between the two of those many other doors of opportunity will come to him.
  5. I have seen my share of ATV accidents too. This is a rural area with alot of ATV's. I work ambulance and I am an RN in the ER here. But you can't let things you see completely run your life. My kid is 8 and I am looking for a youth size 110cc. He did pretty good on one a friend has. He doesn't get to ride mine, way too big for him.
  6. Does anyone have any experience or know anything about these ATV's? http://www.taotao.us/
  7. I use powder paint too. Clean out the hook eye, then cure in the oven for a very durable finish. I use pro-tec paint.

  13. I have been checked twice this year by the game wardens, and my boat inspected twice by the Sheriff Dept while at the docks. All at different places. Last year I got checked a few times too. They are usually nice here. They will BS with you while checking, then leave you to keep fishing.

  23. I grew up there in Texarkana. I remember going to the spillway casting the castmasters and reeling in fast to keep on the surface and catching the crap out the sandbass. What fun that was. I catfished on Wright Patman. I haven't fished there in almost 20 years.
  24. Here is another look at that dark one.
  25. Hey Brent, Thanks for all you do for us and your baits. All this talk about Fat Ikas has got me curious about them. I think I will be ordering some in my next order. Right now I am sweet talking the wife so I can order again.
