Exactly the same thing I do. That is the way I was taught as a kid, and I still do it.

I have the same straps that NitroMan uses in my bass boat. They work great. I keep my rods in them while fishing when I am moving to other areas. Have also put rods in them when going down the road.

I am fishing for smallmouth, and my experience is in one certain place I fish I have caught the bigger fish on DS, and this place is where I do the most dropshotting at. I guess it depends on the area you fish.

Use some Senkos, tubes, or cranks, and fish the structure you can find. Leave the worms at the baitshop, you'll get too many gut hooked bass.

I have caught a lot of really nice fish on this.

I used to use it 90% of the time, but I have broadened out more in my fishing. I really like it. Use the search tool, there are numerous posts on here about it.

I have been thinking about getting a canoe, and I am learning from the mistakes you guys are making. I haven't been in a canoe since I was a teenager. I have caught a lot fish from canoes, and had a lot of un with them, especially growing up in Arkansas. Be safe out there guys!

The eyes do have a milky appearance, but I would go with Micro's response, he is a "snake guy."
